with having to wait for a part to enable me to go work, kids off to school, house work done, i going to make some hash bugget style. Please its not the best way but some good smoking friends have been impressed with the hash iv made before. ill get more from bubbling no dout but i havnt the bubble bags so will make the most with what i have.

firstly i have some dried out trim for which i placed in freezer, then using a grinder, grid up and shake to remove the crystals. this is taking ages lol but with nothing else to do today time isnt a problem .

hopefuly ill have two type's, some quality hash from the buds of blueberry gum, and some not so high quaility from the trim off other grows iv done.

TBH iv only ever made hash this way from the crystals collected over time in the grinder with quaility buds from my grows and never from the trim.

ok iv started the shake and collect and will update again later with some pics.

cheers RB

well after a couple hours and now wankers cramp from all the shaking and grinding i am left with this.

the kief off the blueberry gum is a lovely light brown colour were as the trim is a bit green due to prob plant matter slipping though to but im told its still ok.

anyway i have wrapped then up as tight as i can in an old plastic baccy outter case and sealed with tape, then wrap some news papper around sealed with tape then soaking then in water for 10-15 mins. im pre heating cooker now at 175oc.

will then place in oven for 15-20 mins then press with a rolling pin

the soaking protects the plastic from melting and the cooking is to give the heat. TBH its how iv allways done it after watching someone before do it. there is a reason for which i believe does something to the thc so hoping someelse could explain more .

I also do the freezer grinder hash, it comes out very nice if u don't over do the shaking.
How I do it is, place grinder with airy bud in but don't grind up, place a non magnetic coin in the chamber with the mesh on, freeze for atlest 1 day, then grind and shake for a min or so.
This can produce a lot of hash but be careful not to shake to long as plant matter with eventually filter through

Thing is, heat is bad for THC, as far as I know anyway.
When I've made hash (not often) by shaking, I have just wrapped it in heavy plastic much the same as you then I've put in in my sock and gone for a few long walks to compress it. Some folks have little presses that they use on their kiff. But I've never seen anyone heat it like you are doing.
I'm sure other, more skilled, hash makers will offer their thoughts soon ;)

thinking now with all the crap i have here left + this box of crap ill do what im going to call a bubble/evaperation method.

this is new teritory for me but thinking putt all into iced water , add some ice cubes and with an electic whisk mash it all up and strain throw a pair of tights, then gently heat to evaperate the water ( placed in a bowl within a saucepan like melting chocolate ect) who knows might work and as only going to bin not a loss at all. anyone think im nuts just say lol but rosebowlis on a mission lol

E2a forgot the pic lol.

heat is used to soften the hast so it can be pressed, when you walk about with it in your shoe it is the combination of the heat and pressure of your foot that squishes the hash.

But yes to much heat will degrade the THC, that's another reason why you soak the paper before putting it in the oven.

Save what you strain off, make Butter with the run-off.
Arnie's got a point, if your gonna start heating stuff
for Hash-the heat will degrade it, make some Butter,
anything left over after sieving wont smoke well,
Good Luck with it, it's all a Bonus :guitar:
