Hello All

I got back yesterday from Amsterdam, i was there for a week to check out the cannabis cup etc, but ended up going there once and spending the rest of my time in coffeeshops, spending shed loads of dosh :russian:.

Just wanted to say that i wasnt overly impressed with some strains, but jeeeesus there were some bangers out there, i thought it would be good to let people know what strains to try and what to avoid like the plague.

Dont know if there is another thread like this but i cant find it.

First stop was Sevilla coffeeshop where i sampled nearly everything on the menu as it was close to my hotel,

Most i have to say were average at best.. Stawberry was strong 70% sativa but very boring hardly any taste.

Chocoloco was average again, quite a boring earthy taste.

White Widow aswell was boring but strong, Ok earthy taste.

Stand outs from here were the Amnesia haze very sweet smelling and tasting mm very nice.

And the Sevilla special hash was also lovely, nice tasting smooth smoke, smelt lovely too.

Next was The Bushdoctor tried some Bubblegum was ok not ver strong but ok tasteing not really a strong BG flavour just little hints when smoked and when ground up, i have tried nicer back home, as with alot of the weed out there.

Tops Coffeeshop was ok to sit in, like a morrocan theme with an ok menu here i paid the most for a strain and i wasnt impressed with it for 20euro a gram Vanilla Haze, wasnt worth the money but was a niccce smoke, vanilla kush was better from barneys imo.

Next up was barneys, got a load from here or two seperate occasions, bought the Vanilla Kuch which was quite nice i though nice taste nice high.

Pineapple Chunk was average looked and smelled lovely, with a tiny cheese hint but wasnt the best smoke.

2g Blue cheese as i love Blue Cheese, it never fails to dissapoint me, amazing smell and taste and packs a punch as alot of you know.

G13 haze was reallly nice aswell lovely smell and delicous hazey taste was one of the winners out there for me.

Red Cherry Berry looked nice but was very boring, the taste wasnt there imo, not for me cheap though i suppose at 12euro a g.

Red Diesel was oook, fairly nice taste not like Nyc Diesel but ok.

Tangerine Dream actually smelled to me of oranges very citrussy i liked this strain alot, lovely taste nice high.

To be continued after this....i  a joint of blue cheese fresh from the dam.

Really is that cheap? Shit, at that price I'm not sure I can afford decriminalisation.

It's years since my last visit so it's good to hear an honest report.

Thanks for posting. :smokin:

Yeah its about managing your expectations not EVERY bud is going to float your boat what you buy n where is important as there are many suppliers who may have same strains but there will be differences, some shops will occasionally have somthing special in whereas others may have consistently good bud.

I would recomend Sheebas Mango haze and Lemon Cheese
Katsu as a cs has excellent quality stuff their OG#18 was excellent and their sogouda tasted like you would expect from reading the parents lol
Barneys Dr G or acapulco gold blue cheese are some of my favs i like to buy em in cs and smoke em at smaller shop that sell seeds not as hectic
Hunters the smaller cs that opens here their 100% sat is superb as is their Nevs Haze
ghs their slh generally dissapoints but had most fuelly flavoured diesel from there really good hi to but is a good place to smoke.

Avoids
grasshopper bulldog no need to explain

There are a few that have good reps such as grey area green place 420 HGF and few others they have good weed but imo its just good infact out of 12 13 strains bought from grey area i wouldnt buy one of them again. A cs that is gaining a good reputation for excellent smoke and atmosphere is Voyagers an english lad is running it the menu is excellent and has hotel to !!! he used to be involved at bagheera when that was talked about highly now its all about voyagers spotting a pattern lol

Continued....

Next up was Greenhouse centrum, got some Lemon Skunk and Trainwreck... LS was very citrussy smelling and tasting not very strong but ok, not a big fan of lemony strains i just wanted to see if there were any different tasting bits, like TD for example... Trainwreck was nice imo, niceish taste and smell just like ive tried back home maybe a little less taste.

Then there was The Greenplace, i liked it in here pretty dark and small though and packed out with people.

I tried the Candy Kush LA cheese and 2 of Jack Herer, the candy kush wasnt my thing at all , i had high expectations of this one aswell, boring taste not like kush imo but got you stoned.

Jack Herer was quite nice though, tasted nice and skunky smelled pretty much the same, cheapest smoke in the dam aswell, smoked it all in 1 night

LA cheese was another winner for me lovely tasteing nice and sweet and smelled very nice strong hints of the cheese in the smell and taste.

Next was the Dampkring, got asked by a homeless dude (or so he said, but i dont know.. he had a lovely pair of shoes on) ended up giving him 2 euros for a 5 min walk.

Got some Lemon Larry, NYC diesel, and some Grape, i was impressed by these strain lovely smokes.
Lemon Larry was last out of the 3, it was very lemony in smell and taste, the best lemon bit i tried there.
.
The Diesel was lovely too, just like i get here, amazing smell, i love it, taste nice aswell fruity with earthy undertones.

The Grape was lovely also, I really liked this strain, nice skunky fruity smell and taste, smelled truly of grapes imo, well worth a try when out there.

I got some of the 3 above and some blue cheese back with me, but i want to save some of it for christmas.

That is all i cant think of at the minute if i remember any more i will post it up.

Was in a crash on the way back home with no seatbelts on ( not our fault), so aching soo bad with whiplash broke my finger and bruised my chest, put abit of a downer on the trip home but i just feel lucky me and my mate didnt fly through the windscreen.

Take it Easy Connoisseurs

Peace

No worries mate hope it helps. I would say i spent about 300-350 Euro on weed and hash, but im not sure... i will try and tot up a total for you.

Yep id say nearer 350.

Drinks and food are ridiculous out there (i forgot to mention earlier), 10 euro for a meal and a drink at various well known fast food outlets ate very poorly all week because of the prices.

yeah weeds expensive and carp, yep foods expensive and crap.
In Greek mythology, Demeter is the goddess of the harvest, who presided over grains, the fertility of the earth, and the seasons (personified by the Hours). She brings forth the fruits of the earth, particularly the various grains. She taught mankind the art of sowing and ploughing so they could end their nomadic existence. As such, Demeter was also the goddess of planned society. She was very popular with the rural population.

My favourite for just chilling is Hill Street Blues on the wormoestraat sat with the door open overlooking the canal but I have no favourite unless a certain dealer is on at Blues Brothers. I head there, have a chat, and he puts me right. Very knowledgeable and up front guy that advices me on what to try and where not to bother
