I got a small steak from the freezer on the way out to work this morning.
Some new potatoes, some lettuce and some tomatoes (all from the garden) will go nicely with that :oldtoker:

snadge's perfect rice.

put rice in pan and wash and rinse with cold water several times, whilst doing this boil the kettle with plenty of water.

when kettle has boiled drain off cold water from rice in pan.

cover rice with plenty of boiling water and I mean plenty.

Bring to boil stir and cover, boil for 4/5 mins, stir, drain and leave pan covered, stand for 7-15 mins, depending on desired "flufiness".

hey presto perfect rice.

It also saves energy.

Me and Mr HH are having sliced chicken breasts with bacon and mozzarella in a tomato and herb marinade/sauce with spicy Spanish potatoes (Mrs Hippy style) and salad - takes about an hour - but lovely!

Peace!

You need a pack of new potatoes - whatever takes your fancy. Slice them - not too thin and boil them for about 10-15 mins.

Heat in a hot oven proof dish/tin add a generous amount of extra virgin olive oil,
sliced garlic
a good shake of medium curry powder
a very generous amount of Lea & Perrins tomato & herb marinade
a couple of squirts of tomato puree
any herbs that take your fancy - depending on what meat your doing it with

Add the boiled potatoes to the hot mixture and coat - and cook until crispy!

Even my kids love these potatoes and they are really fussy normally. They also go great with pan fried pork cooked in sage served with veg. Just makes a change from chips, roast, boiled, mashed, etc.

Good luck and I hope you like them!

Peace!
