budbomb and palm leaf any tips to get the best from them Rate Topic: -----

ive just brought these , well yesterday . gotta say i prefer the budbomb

the palm leaf seems akward to use and feels like im straining it to get smoke through

i know nausicca uses the palm leaf , i would like to know how he finds the best way to use and clean this ?

anyone else use these , ive done a search but they are all quite old so i want to start something new

any views on these

i agree about smoke delivery, it helps if you tilt it down away from your face.
isopropyl alcohol is good for cleaning the tar out and if you prefer to smoke weed through it rather than hash, take the metal flame guard from a clipper, squeeze it until it will fit in the burning hole and release. works even better with two clipper tops.
worth persevering with for the tar removal alone but i personally prefer my glass frog pipe.

they form a bowl so that you can stack it full of weed instead of trying to balance a small amount in the original (small) bowl.

nah, i just put a boil plaster on the back of my neck.
a trader selling silver palms told me how to do it a couple of hemp fairs ago.

i've got an Agent blue here,bit like a budbomb iirc
but tend not to use it as much as the glass pipe with all the swirly patterns in it :doh:

I don't have anything to offer this thread, as i've never tried either, am a pipe noob, only really tried them little threaded tube 1 hitters.. But i would be interested to know more about the budbomb and how smooth, coughy etc it is as i need something for stealth smoking

i think the bud bombs much much better for stealth , pleasure to toke

just cant get on with the palm leaf , gutted really 25 notes

Worth trying a bit of decent hash on a palm, think that would be nice. Had a streetdaddy blue, just chucked it in a skip, bloody thing wasnt a patch on a nice glass pipe or a portable smoke!

i got both of these and i must admit the bud bomb is easier to get on with :yahoo: although not used either for a couple of years :)

the clipper attachment is a cool idea....i can feel a bit of ' lighter lifting ' coming on :naughty:

the only pipe i use now is a heavyweight glass spoon :woot: :idea:
i dont think you can beat the smoke from a nice glass piece and I'd recommend maybe flogging on the palm leaf jiffa and get yourself a decent glass pipe. You can get a decent one for 20 - 25 bucks B) B)

then you can use the budbomb for when your out and the glass for at home...sorted :) :)

Love the Palm as a hash pipe, but it's too shallow for weed unless you use the Clipper trick and I'd rather skin up. It's benefits are: indestructibility (mine is over a dozen years old); portability (wear it around your neck); easily cleaned (use white spirit and a cotton bud). Sadly, mine has not seen much use recently.

sadly mate , i dont now anyone that smokes a pipe :yep: only me


i think ill keep it as a hash pipe , got a couple grams of hash curing for xmas day . i shall try it then
