good on yer mrs HH, adopt-a-plant is a great idea :blushing:
will give you a reason to keep poking your head in, so to speak :stoned:

i must admit that it's only been because i've had bigger probs on my mind lately than nicotine that i've found it so easy to quit. when i did it before tho, i found that a complete change of tastes helped. change the brand of toothpaste you use. start drinking fresh grapefruit juice instead of orange (or whatever). cut up carrot sticks and/or celery and leave it in the fridge to nibble on (as you won't have that high to fall back on). maybe get some cinnamon gum, the key is to try and remove/change the things that trigger your cravings by altering routines and smells/flavours for a while. as your taste buds come back (after 30yrs it should be amazing!) the new flavours will be an altogether new experience and you may find some new things you like.

anyway, i hope you can keep positive during the hardest times, we're bigger than nicotine and we can do this! :wassnnme:

Hi Mrs HH

Great diary

All the best to you both :)

Good job on the evil fags - I feel increasingly guilty still smoking the nasty foul things, good on ya. I'm another one who'll need to stick a patch in my gob and sew my fingers together. Food tastes so much better when you quit lol

Of course I know you meant a cannabis plant! I was just pointing out that I think you should see my indoor gardening skills before I'm let lose on the Cannabis world! lol

Anyway just got David Bailey to photography my baby - she cost me £1.99 last year and was one of the few remaining of the bunch. She was very straggly and small, but I think I've brought her back....

She looks great :) i think you could be trusted to look after a proper plant now. Just means you need to read up and ask Mr HH questions on how its done, i'm sure he'll put you right :stoned:

good luck with it

Hi PW,

Full of good ideas and support - just what I need. Will give the taste changes a try. Today has been a better day for me, I've only had 3 and they all tasted lol So I think the tablets are beginning to kick in more now. And funny enough, I really don't feel that bad!

Peace!

Hiya Arbuscule,

Thanks for the kind comments. Tried the patches years ago - they worked for 5 months, but soon went back. I like to think that this time I am more serious - but hey unlike you guys, I can't sew! :)

Peace!

Hi T1,

I'm glad you think I can be trusted - means a lot to me! :pimp: You may have read now that I have decided to adopt one of Mr HH's plants and just keep an eye on her progress - although as HH informs me, I have to wait to ensure I don't pick one that goes hermy! lol

Peace!

Hi Guys,

So sorry not been on here for a long while - had loads of stuff to do, which has meant no computer time for me - all the more for Mr HH!

I haven't forgotten my alternative diary - and it will be updated within the next couple of days. I did pick one of HH's plants to adopt and follow - so will be adding my comments about that one very soon.

As for the dreaded fags - well I'm pleased to report that I haven't smoked now for nearly 10 weeks and feel really good for it! After a shaky start, I finally bit the bullet and stopped altogether! :guitar:

Mr HH starts his new job on Monday :smoke:  :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: so I'll have the computer all to myself! :dev:

Peace!
Mrs HH

Great idea mrs HH. Should be fun to read, and will help me to stop talking and talking and talking about weed and growing as i have done for about 18 months :) sorry folks

Good work on the giving up, those pills, are they Zyban? they worked for me when I tried them but had some issues and started again.. they were the first things that worked. Gum made my mouth hurt, inhalators didn't work, and i couldn't get the patches to stay lit...

:execute: nah i'm allergic to em, make my skin hurt. Was never allergic to plasters though, until i wore those damn patches.

I gotta give up properly soon, smoking 20+ rollups a day is ruining my lungs and my sweet sweet voice. Still got some zybans left but they're pretty old now, probably won't work right... so i'm waiting for the completion of my own diary and then i can roll pure joints/pack the bong every time i want a cig..

Anyway, good luck with your plant, will pull up a pew for this one.

When I introduced mrs. toasted to my grow show, I gave her one of the plants (bagseed). Turned out to be heavy on the sativa side and grew all over the place, so I had to chop it for the greater good. She never forgave me :yep:

Enjoying the diary and perspective Mrs. HH, very entertaining so far

Just read your diary mrs HH and it gave me a real lift :D :D to see partners taking such an interest in their 'hubby's-hobby's' with the 'Adopt-A-Plant' scheme. I really acknowledge you for giving the baccy the boot, I did it about 15 years ago and my toking has only got better.
I'd love to pop by, if I may, and see how your diary goes, it's nice to get the view from the otherside, so to speak, so thanx for taking the time - I'll show your diary to mrs BB as I get the feeling that she also gets a bit bored with all the excited talk about PH, Lumens, Nute schedules etc, etc, etc.

Hi Mrs Happy Hippy,

So far I've only read your first post in this diary & I've got to say it's brilliant. You have an excellent wit & way of expressing your self that's a joy to read. I read out your post to Mrs Tweed & we were both in stitches laughing so much. Thank you very much for starting this diary & good luck with the stopping smoking, BTW are the tablets called Champix, they work really well, me & Mrs Tweed used them over a year ago & both of us gave up smoking tabacco.

I'll be catching up later, keep it up.

ATB, HT.
