Try here for seconhand stuff hxxp://www.mpbphotographic.co.uk/

E2A: The XXXD models are made from plastic where as the XXD's are magnesium alloy, another thing to look out for.

have I chosen the dark side

:starwars:

To be honest i was looking at that as it was a seemingly descent body with two lenses at a decent price but I'm completely open to suggestions and in all honesty i don't think my dad will let me anywhere near his collection of lenses, the phrase 'from my cold dead hands' springs to mind lol.

It seemed like a good deal, if anyone can point me in a different/better direction I'll have a look.

Budget can probably go as high as 600 squids.

Cheers mrm,
I was looking at taking landscape and wildlife shots, pics of my lovely ladies, maybe some street photography and my girlfriend is a seamstress so pics of her creations for her website.

And actually the budget can go higher, I'm willing to invest in something I'll use for a long time and like I say upgrade lenses as I get better, I have some training from my old man but it's a hobby I really want to get back into.

I love this place, always someone willing to help out :yep:

I would go for a 40/50/60D SH and get a good kit type lens to start with.
Unless you want to go to the darkside :pitchfork:

That camera bundle looks liek it would suit you fine then :yep:, looks a good deal TBH

I would only buy second hand if i could get it alot cheaper...

I've got a Cannon 18-50mm lens around the house somewhere you can have if you want, Iky gave it to me but i can't use it.

Check out YONGNUO YN460 for cheap flashes and the macro lens i use is only a cheap Sigma 50mm.

I have my scout photography badge, is that good enough?

I do have a pretty good idea what I'm doing and plan on learning what I don't know lol.

I'll dig it out and take some pics of condition.

I've never used it as don't have any cannon gear, but your more than welcome.

Photoshop won't recover images that are way too noisy for example so if shooting in low light is your thing then you need a system that will cope. So IMO it does matter what system you buy for the requirements you need.

There's no fungus/dust inside the glass, but feels light so i take it there's no motor.

Make sure your the camera has motor in body to focus it :yep:

Movement is fine..
