Just to add did you find the chap had cut the European plug and replaced in with a white after market Uk plug or wasit all original?

and now im a little gutted after finding uk lumatek lamps but they dont stock the 1000w version

My adjusta-watt 1000w digi does 400 600 and 1000 watt. And super lumens naturally. So i could use any of those lamps if I so wish. Seems a little more logical to me

No reason really why a 600w bulb couldn't be run at 750w far as I can see. They are designed to withstand massive intolerances of mains current so...
