Hi

Ok it had been a while since my last Asia adventure and I have always wanted to see the Himalayas so a trip to Nepal was planned.

I arrived in the middle of November in Kathmandu Nepals capital.
A little time was spent sight seeing and getting trekking permits etc, its ok here but I am not a City person so did what i had to do and headed to the start of the Langtang Valley trek on a 8 hours 110km approx bone shaking journey on sheer drop crumbling roads.

In Kathmandu I picked this up

It was a soft black hash, very soft when handled. It smelt really nice with that black hash spicy smell but did not seem to strong ( I had been smoking lots of bubble and oil in Uk before i left so tolerance may have been high). Cost 15 USD. About £10. Was overpriced but he started at something stupid and was city centre score and i wanted out of area asap.

If i had had this in the UK i would have presumed in was a Afghan Black or similar. It was quite like the big lumps Mazar I Shariff black that was about in Uk a bit ago, seen some pics on here and was in my area that was most similar smoke i had in Uk to this.

- would love to hear more about your trip. Any pics?
- Do you know what you get if you cross a sheep with a kangaroo?
- A woolly jumper?
- No. It was horrible. We had to kill it with a shovel.

On the way up I found a Tea House with a few plants that looked a bit beaten as had been used for charras i guess.

Pics of plants.

The owner had made this 18 days ago if i remember correctly.

500 Ruppes a stick £4, Bargain imo i did not try and barter as i know the hard work he goes through and my room only costing 80p 100 Ruppes it certainly seemed fairtrade to me.

Smelt hashy with bit of fruit. Was very hard texture and very racy high. Would walk back in to communal area after a smoke very stoned when you can sort of hear your self speak (all sorts of languages are being spoken made things confusing also lots of laughing!

I really liked this one.

Tea house at 3008M see the change in vegetation. Getting higher!

The bags on the wall are what the porters carry for people. The loads they carry are crazy 40-50Kg.

I did everything solo no guide or porter as i wanted the freedom of doing it on my own and with a good map you should not get lost if weather is ok and accommodation and food is available in the many tea houses on the route.

My pack weighed about 13kg which was more than i carried on second trek here. 13kg gets heavy on long trek at altitude.
