And there we have it, Sweet Special#2 has been harvested and we still have Sweet Special#1 with still around a week to go. Pictures will be put up when dry along with the dry yield from her.
I'm really enjoying my smokes of the +Speed and the Green Poison, a smoke report will probably be written tomorrow on +Speed#2 and +Speed#3 also the Green Poison now that they have been in the jars for 14 days today.

Hi Amnesia. I've just bought 3 +Speed seeds and since this is my first grow, I was wondering how would you classify it's odor by your growing experience on a scale from 1 to 10. I'm making a small carbon filter right now, but the fan is weak and i don't think it will eliminate all the smell from my closet. I'll first grow only one plant, but i'm still concerned because i have bad nosy neighbors; and i live in a small studio growing in the same room, keeping windows open all day long. Thank you for this journal, you and Serpent made me buy this strain.

btw i'm dying to know if this has some of the sativa effects in it after smoking. how would you characterize it ? sativa/indica - 30/70 ? 40/60? i don't really enjoy couch locks.

Poor Man Welcome to the site mate, good choice on the +Speeds as i'm really enjoying them now and i'm sure you will too. The latest smoke report of +Speed#1 in fairness is my least favourite plant i grew but +S#2 and +S#3 get much better reviews as there is more taste and the effect seems better too, interestingly +Speed#1 was harvested at Day 62 but the other two which i prefer in taste and effect were chopped at day 57/58. As with any good bud though i think, you can get a little tired after a good session but this is after a good few hours. Sativa/Indica i would say 60/40 but so difficult to say really.
None of the phenos are what i would call couchlock, +Speed#1 which is the "heaviest" in effect is relaxing on the body and leaves you feeling relaxed but your mind is still alert if you know what i mean and gets you thinking, on a mission etc. The other two +speed are more uplifting but i will do a smoke report on those within the next day or two.
Regarding your question on the carbon filter, you will definitely need one when when these start to bud up as with any cannabis plant. All canna plants give off a distinctive weed smell which can travel further than you think but some stronger than others, so please get a proper carbon filter and dedicated fan and your plants will thank you for it too come harvest time, you say you live in a studio apartment with windows open and so this will be a sure way to get your door booted in without no proper carbon filter and then of course no bud and good times In a small space you will only need a 4inch fan and matching filter, any questions on this ask away and i'm only too happy to advise if i can.

Mate, thank you so much! You don't know how happy I am about the percentage! i would of been satisfied even with 40% sativa Now i really don't regret buying this strain. I got it because it's faster than most autos and i'm forced to early harvest.

Thank you for the advices, my filter is ready now, but it's really blocking the fan absorption power by 3 times... oh well... i'll make 2 of them just in case it's starting to stink.

Hi, it's a 4 inch old cpu fan. I've just taped the carbon on one side

Poor Man, Dr Haze and turbo toker. I appreciate you coming in and taking a look around but Poor Man can you please make a thread in the general forum and me along with i'm sure many other members on here will only be too happy to help and advise/discuss about any filters and such.
I just like to keep my diary neat and tidy without general discussion going on.

SATURDAY 5th MAY.

SWEET SPECIAL#1. DAY 100 FROM SEED, DAY 64 OF 12/12. HARVEST DAY.

Well today (saturday) Sweet Special#1 has been harvested after 9 weeks and 1 day of 12/12, some nice foxtailing going on towards finishing and she looks like a decent yielder too, very resinous with some nice scissor hash at the end.
The final pics of her then, the leaves were cut off for the photo's so you can see them better. A 1 litre Bloom bottle there for size purposes.

There are still smoke reports to do in this diary for +Speed#2, +Speed#3 and the Green Poison now that they have been in the jars for three weeks now, coming up in the next few days. Sweet Special#2 is still drying and a yield and initial smoke report will be done as and when she is dry along with Sweet Special#2.

Dr Haze Thanks for stopping by, all of the initial smoke reports have been done except for both of the Sweet Specials which are drying, I let them cure for at least a couple of weeks and then i do another report of which i have only done +Speed#1 so far and that was after 18 days in the jar. +Speed#2, +Speed#3 and the Green Poison are still awaiting smoke reports to be written up after the cure, they have been in the jars for 3 weeks now and i can tell you they all get a big thumbs up from me.
I will see if i have the time to do the reports tomorrow as right now. Here is +Speed#1 smoke report from page 15 to save you looking back.>

+Speed#1 has been in the jar for 18 days now and after smoking her the last couple of days here is what i think of her.
The apearance and structure of the buds is great, resinous and dense but still break apart and crumble in easily but still leaving you with sticky fingers afterwards!

Regarding the smell when i harvested her she was quite sweet and in taste too but since being in the jars it has gradually turned into quite a sharpish and ever so slightly fruity and with an hashy kind of smell mixed in, none of the aromas are too strong like some of the others.

The taste is also like the smell and subtle and smooth, more of an hash taste in my opinion with a slight bit of fruit mixed in the aftertaste especially. An average tasting smoke this one and only because the sweetness or fruitiness is not there as much as i would like, I do like the skunky/fruity aftertaste she has but i just wish more of it was there when you actually smoke it, i find myself rolling another one to get more of the taste but unfortunately it is not there. The Volcano brings out a better sweeter taste especially around 185c but the hit is not there at that range, 195c i'm away with the pixies after a couple of bags and the only occasion at 202c i was asleep at the keyboard.

Effect is in a word dreamy and a very thoughtful brain, I've found myself getting lost in my own thoughts several times! Strong on the mind but the body is mellow. This is my least favourite out of the four autos that i grew and despite of this you can see it's still quite a positive report.
So a pleasant tasting smoke but i prefer the taste of the other two +Speed i have in the jars as they are both stronger on the tastebuds in fruit and sweetness, a report will be done in the next few days on +Speed#2 and +Speed#3 as they have also been cureing for 11 days now.

I will say here that +Speed#3 is now my favourite smoke out of the three +Speed that i grew and then closely followed by the Green Poison.
