I'll chime in a few; copper tape wrapped around stalks stop snails/slugs straight away, they get a shock and turn away, it's sold in the States at homeDepot and maybe Lowes they have online sales so check it out. THere is also a company that has Predator piss, it works but make this the ver last thing you do as its smell will make you say wtf. Get the sampler kit it has bobcat coyote cougar etc and switch up every couple months simply put some on a pad or cottin ball afix near your plant, it triggers flight] instincts as they don't want to be lunch! Cages are only asood as you make em, but cayenne pepper added to garlic spray helps if they do get in. In very remote spots I have fishing line attached to tin cans, sound will work for a short time. I use a perimeter fence too to lessen entries. I cover with netting late season to prevent moths from laying eggs which become worms and diaster. For molds/pm etc use Serenade early and Green Cure late it changes ph. So they don't get a foothold, also Sporicidin kills spores but don't use it "on" plants but surrounding areas or rooms only. BT is a catterpillar killer but follow directions closely. And human hair Irish Spring soap only works temporarily, imo.
