Good luck to everyone taking part, may everyone have great success with these lovely beans. Many thanks to Sweet Seeds and Tommy, Withnail and everyone at 420. I followed last years comp with great interest, its a real pleasure to be able to take part this time round!
Iv been round these parts for a while now and you lot have helped me improve on my way. only been growing around a year now, but with a couple of nicely successful DR60 grows i wanted to opt for something more stealth like. So I have been building myself a Drobe over the summer, its taken a while but i am happy so far. Its Currently running so I can test the environment and make sure all is well and ready for my ladies currently germinating. Ill go into more detail on the Drobe shortly.
Seed Selection.
Right so firstly my chosen seeds gifted by Sweet Seeds
Mohan Ram- I chose Mo because i have previously grown a singular bean, with good success. I loved everything about the smoke of her, Lovely Hight and taste. I just couldn't resist growing a few more out to see if there's much variation. I also have fond memories of White Widow from around 02.
Cream Caramel- Cream Caramel because I have grown out a singular CC Auto and she was divine (some of the nicest smoke iv had), I really wanted to grow both cc auto and cc regular alongside, or one after another to give them both a good compare. Maybe if i get chance ill get some CC autos and include in with this diary.
Psicodelica- I chose this lady due to results of other members in the comp last year, and the smoke reports(i wanted something different to the indica norm). And I have wanted to try growing a sat dom myself for a while but with only 140cm height in the DR60 i was somewhat reluctant. iv got a good 25cm more height now and have constructed a screen for when i flower this one.
Assorted beans i had anyway-
Black Jackx1 - I couldn't resist this one, had a smoke of a friends, it was an incredibly heavy hitter. All the reports and pictures iv seen made me compelled to buy.
Double Whitex1 - Again, iv a certain fascination with the white family, after smoking a friends regularly grown widow in 02 iv been looking for a decent equal. So quite looking forward to growing this one out
S.A.D S1x1 - Again pictures from the comp last year, and the mohan made me pic this one.
I have also got a singular Cream Caramel i also purchased before the comp. So that makes CC x4

Right as previously stated iv been busy building a Drobe.
The flowering/Veg chamber is 165cm(H)x50cm(w)x55cm(d). There is also 3 other compartments inside the wardrobe, one containing the RVK and one which may in future be used as a veg chamber depending on a few things. One stores my bits and bats like scissors and twine etc.
Installed inside i have.
-Rhino Filter Being pulled through by a system air 4inch rvk.
-Passive intake for which I built a light baffle and placed a grill +fly mesh on the outside of the drobe.
-250w HPS, Currently running a 250w dual spectrum, which has done a fair few grows, Need to order another.
- Dulux lumitec paint for the inside of the grow chamber.
For now it seems to be running well on its test run, passive intake sucking air through like a gudgeon! I'm sure there will be more alterations along the way. For instance I need to decide where to mount my desk fan for when the girls are in their later years. if you spot anything that needs attention, please give me a heads up! Ta muchly
The Plan
For my first run, which I shall call the Test Run. I have decided to grow S.A.D S1, 2x Cream Caramel and a singular Mohan Ram.
My reasoning for thus, is that they are a similar mix of ind/sat, so hopefuly they shouldn't be too hard to keep at a similar height. If this proves not to be the case that's fine. All my previous grows have been of assorted seeds mostly Sweet seeds too, so i'm used to battling with height.
My second run may be the Black Jack and Double white, Possible with some Psic. however im yet to decide, i may do the Psic all three at once. I shall update on that closer to the end of this first lot being done.

All four Beans have been potted after a soak in water. They went underground on the 27th, and at the moment CC2 is the only one to show her face. Should be seeing the rest soon

I'm sure it will be pretty interesting, some very nice strains you have on the go, uh?
