Hello all!

After much procrastination I have got my current grow a couple of weeks into flower and now have the veg box free. So I popped three Snow Fruit and three Green Poison beans in root riot cubes in a sandwich bag and into the airing cupboard. So far all but one green poison have sprouted, but theres still hope for the other.

Attached Image

The lighting in the veg box is 2 45w blue CFLs and the flower cab has a 150w hps (but we wont get to see that for at least 6 weeks).

I am using Westlands multi purpose with added JI. The nutes will be fishmix and Plant magic OT bloom.

What can you expect to see in this diary?

-Stuff being held together with duct tape and shoelaces
-Some very confined spaces
-Leaves going yellow and droping off

So pull up a beanbag, thers some Diesel in the jars and I'll stick the kettle on for a nice cup of tea.

Hi mate!

Welcome to the contest!! :yep:

I love mini-grows ;) I Usually use my Homebox-minis for my minigrows, with 70wHPS or 150wHPS (like you) in a space of only 30x30x60cm :)

I hope you enjoy your sweets! Good luck for the competition, sweet regards,

tommy

Thanks all for dropping in, everyones diarys are looking great this year. I have been loving Beanpoppers, being a fellow 150w hps-vertical-in-a-tiny-space grower. If my plants turn out to be half as nice as his I will be pleased.

Its 4 days since they sprouted so lets call this: Day 4 veg

The batterys in the camera are dead so I took a couple of phone shots, not good quality at all
Attached Image
The 2 on the back left are the Green Poison and the Snow Fruit are the 3 on the right. The leaves are nice and wide on the SF.

I toyed with the Idea of putting a S.A.D. down to replace the GP thats hasnt woken up yet but decided to wait for it and just go with 5 plants if it does nothing. Theres still a lot of time though, all those others were up in 24 hours and I have had seeds take over a week to sprout. My germination technique isnt the best (i dont soak seeds or any of that business, just pop em into a root riot, bag them up and stick them in the airing cupboard), but it works for me most of the time.

One thing I would like to say is how impressed I am with the quality of the Packaging, the website and the catologue. They all look realy nice. The seeds themselves were big and funky looking, everything has an air of high quality and, seriously, how cool are Sweet Seeds for doing this comp?

Thanks again Tommy, I feel like a winner just by taking part.

Day 9

Attached Image

Going to pot them up later today I think. I find vegging plants a bit dull so over the nexy few posts I will add some info about the grow boxes etc.

Heres the info on the seeds.

Green Poison

Sweet Seeds Green Poison is a stable hybrid between the most potent indica and sativa genetics from Sweet Seeds, created specially for everyone who longs for a deep indica relaxation after a hard working day. This new cannabis strain is strongly dominated by indica genes which make her fast growing and flowering, producing heavy yields of the best quality marijuana.
Being mostly indica, feminized cannabis seeds of Green Poison are suitable for indoor and outdoor cultivation and produce eye-appealing plants with some sativa prevalence - they grow long and flexible with a large central cola and a well developed branching system. Their dark green foliage often turns purple in early stage of maturing and makes a perfect back ground for big dense buds covered with white shiny crystals full of THC which is between 15% and 20%. This marijuana variety is very resinous. Numerous bud sites seem to fill any gaps they can find. Green Posion's remarkable 7 weeks of flowering surprise even experienced cannabis growers. A very intense, sweet and fruity, aroma starts appearing at the beginning of flowering and maintains in the final product. Due to the rapid flowering, plants of this marijuana strain are very resistant to fungi attacks as well as to their worst enemy, grey mould, and grow perfectly well in wet climate zones. The first harvest is ready already by the middle of September.

Snow Fruit

Sweet Seeds Snow Fruit Feminized is the abominable plant of the snow. It has predominantly indica genetics, that in our opinion has rarely been seen before.
This strain has an exagerated development of the lateral branches, because of this just one plant can ocupy a large extensive area of cultivation and produce by itself a huge harvest. Snow Fruit cannabis seeds produce succulent and compact buds due to it's big length calyxes, while it blooms it exhibits a charming policromacy in it's foliage with shades of green, magenta, red, purple. It also develops a big mantle of trichomes in the flowering bunch.
Snow Fruit is a strong strain, with a very short internodal distance and strong stalks that helps it to resist very well outdoor. While fresh, it’s aroma reminds us of a mix of mint and fruits of the forest, with slight flavour of toasted almonds and humus. It’s effects are very strong and relaxing due to it’s high percentage of THC and CBD. Snow Fruit is a strain of high medicinal effects.

Thanks Beanpopper, you are right, time does indeed fly by when you have a grow on (apart from the first one you ever do, that drags by!)

Day 10

I did the potting up, I don't like potting up when they are so small, but it went fine.
They all had some nice roots on them
