Just to say that I also got an expanded bottle which settles into two parts over night and opens with a fssss.

I transferred it to another 5l bottle and which I shake daily and open and have been using it for a month and it is performing exactly as expected if not better, I don't know as I am running new strains.. I may contact PM and buy any returns..lol

I kind of wish members would read the whole topic before asking the same same question a few posts down the topic after it had already been answered.

Darkstalker420, please do not pour any fertiliser down the drain, be it concentrated or mixed, it does not matter whether its chemical or organic, its the worst type of environmental vandalism you could commit. Everything that enters the sewerage system also eventually enters the water courses, ie streams, rivers aquifers or the sea, sewerage treatment plants cannot remove nutrients from water.

Our natural water course environment is struggling as it is from inputs from the chemical farming industry as well as factory farm run off, while there have been some improvements in the last few years, we still get eutrophication that kill out stream and river from micro life up to the fish.

As plantmagic explained there was a one of batch made with a different type of molasses, that while much more effective for fertilising your plants as its much more bioactive, it also stimulated some of the bacteria, fungi and yeasts that occur naturally in the organic mix of ingredients in the fertiliser, this cause a very small amount of fermentation in warm conditions, this in turn made the fertiliser a little more immediately bio available to the plant, in other words its a slightly better fertiliser as long as the gas is released and the concentrate is thoroughly shaken before each dilution which is what you should do anyway before making up each batch for watering.

As soon as plantmagic found there was a possible problem they recalled the entire batch, so Darkstalker420 you will have two bottles, I would use them both, none of plantmagic+ organic products contain any preservatives or stabilisers that would inhibit in anyway microbial activity.

Hope this helps Ot1.
Q. how do i make seeds?

A. You take a splinter off my cross, tie a few hairs to one end of it, dip the hairs into the pollen and lightly brush the pistils with it.

So it turns out the ones who received the swollen bottles of pm are the lucky ones. :yinyang:

Sorry OT1. Didn't figure that Organic nutes would do any harm! (i would think the washing up water with all those chems in it would be far worse?? but we tip tonnes of that down the plughole everyday + bathwater with all those shower gel/soap suds in + all the prescription medicine we "deposit" into the toilet). I figured being Organic it would be just molasses + plant extracts = biodegradeable?

However now i know it's not a good thing i shall refrain from doing it again. I have also been absent from this site for a few months and was not aware of the problem (until i opened my bottle ). And i suppose when you hear the words "recall" you automatically think PROBLEM/FAULTY! and i was hesitant to try it on my girls.

I Also spotted a post from someone on here who said it "nuked" his grow and that was the final straw :blub:. However i will of course continue to use the Bloom i have always been impressed with the results BUT no more down the drain (i usually tip my run off on to plants out side though to be fair).

Thanx.

I have just found out I have an expanding, fizzy and funky bloom bottle at the back of my cupboard. Think I'll just be cracking on with it as it doesn't smell offensive at all. In fact i quite like it :eat:

It's fermenting, like the "expanded bottles" metioned earlier.

Mine smells like beer brewing, stout perhaps.

I would just use it, unless It is really offensive. My oldtimer bloom works fine.

No doubt you could exchange it, if you want to.
