I just use a fork to stir mine.

Just looked. Seems a hi setting on a slo cooker is about 90C. Not quite as hot as boiling obviously. But not sure if it would matter for a butter extraction.

After I poured the boiling hot mass of plant, oil and water into the colander/bowl, I lifted the colander to allow the mess to drain a bit. After a minute of draining, I put the colander into another bowl so it could sit as I gathered up the filter into a ball and, using a fork, pressed the excess hot fluids out.

I could have done another rinse or two but didn't feel a need to.

Once the water is gone, break the butter into chunks and store in a tub in the refrigerator. I'm going to make some cookies now, but won't have one until tomorrow. If I can resist.

So 1/2 oz per 19 cookies or close to .8G of trim per cookie. One cookie should not be a whole lot of anything then. We'll see. Time to cook up the next batch.

the ghee looks like a good idea as you do not need to get rid of the dairy solids from the final product. Your butter looks nice and clean
How is the cookie? do you feel

I'll probably cook up the last of the cookies and go to bed. Maybe tomorrow I'll try two cookies.
One thing I keep forgetting to mention. Each cookie is a pretty precise size (1 tablespoon of cookie dough). This is so I can get an idea of how the cooking proportions are (how much canna per cookie for instance) so when I make my next batch, I can adjust the strength to what I want. I'll also know, roughly, how baked I'll get with any particular cookie.
