I use it and it does effect EC , i can't believe someones led you to think it wont!!

thats my experience as well , to get the required ec and to add the Bloom Boost at the recommended rate I have to reduce my A&B by approximately 20 %. If I put the same amount of A&B in as I normally do then my ec is way to high.

I agree with you there Bigboy , I'm on my third run with PM stuff and even my first crop where I was still getting the feel for the nutes and how they behaved was an improvement on my previous grows. They do seem to work rather well

CF, sure you know but I EC to 1.6 with A&B and if i add the Bloom Booster at the scheduled rate of 1.5ml/litre it settles at 1.8.

Only joking around but why would it not affect the ec its a feed/booster with high levels of PK so of course its going to up the ec

That sounds dandy, but the way its been going for me by the time I'm ready to put my Boost in my ec is already up to 1.8 so if I dont knock the A&B down a bit then I'm getting an ec of over 2.0...which for me is a little on the high side.
Unfortunately as I'm growing in nft in hard water if I start off with ec 2.0 then as the tank empties then the concentration of dissolved solids goes up even further as the crap that comes free with my water gets more concentrated.

I used to have an RO machine , its pain having to make your own water all the time but so easy when it coms to making up solutions and topping up , My tank would drain almost to the bottom and the ec would stay exactly where I'd set it. My tap water now is pretty hard so it does take a bit of fiddling to make sure you have enough nutes in the tank and your ec is still at an acceptable level.

I just run my tank down till its almost empty every few weeks, then just refresh with new water. IF Ec goes up between changes i just add more water and keep at 1.8.

Don't know if i run things to optimum but so far everything seems pretty happy, week 6 now. It is starting to drift up slightly since upping the PK but i just put that down to the plant taking more water than nutes.
