hi guys. any ideas on what the best way of going about drying my amnesia in my grow room whilst it is still in use with other plants. i was thinking a tall cardboard box, with the stalks hung up in there with holes in the cardboard for ventilation and possibly a fan or 2 blowing air into the box. sound any good? i'll be very grateful for any advice or previous experiences trying similar methods. cheers people

I would separate the two mate, to much heat will force dry and you don't want that!
If your stuck then yes use what ever you can, a box will suffice, only use a low power extract fan for drying, and attach ducting from box to your grow tent, a shower fan is perfect for extraction but this depends on the size of the dry room, on the box make a vent at the bottom, attach mosquito net to the vent, this will be a passive intake, duct tape up all corners and along the rims of the box.
If you have room in your grow room you could put it in the corner but the temp inside the dry box should be around 20 degrees so a vent to a fresh air supply would be needed.
Good luck with it mate.

Can be done but not ideal as temps will be a little higher so they wil dry too quick but I know folk who do it.

Big thick brown paper bags, or several layers of newspaper, can make a light tight drying bag to hang a whole plant upside down in. You may need to cut small air slits, it might dry fine without.
Better to hang them in the dark outside the tent though, perhaps next to your tent's air intake to deal with the smell. Perfect drying conditions are 15-20C and 45-55% RH, try and take as long as possible to dry slowly (two weeks is good) before jarring for curing.

A quarter pound of ishen is a dollar ten cent, I get so high I can't pay my rent.

thanks for the advice guys. might try taking all the buds off the colas and hang them in front of my intake in brown paper bags or possibly in the room depending on any smell issues.

Hi inceywincey,
I've had the same problem before now.
I got a big cardboard box and ran strings across the top and hung the plants in there. I then attached the box to the tents passive intake (outside the tent though) so room temp air is drawn through the drying box in to the tent which then deals with the small.
Pretty easy to do and worked just fine for me, guess it depends on how much you were drying.
