I had about 2 weeks to get to Delhi from Nepal so it was decided to head overland to Banbasa the border town in Uttarakhand, India.
I had spoken with Namkha on here who was very helpful and had a rough idea of what might be good to see on route to Delhi.

I also got adopted on my first bus ride by a lovely Indian who took me back to his parents place and looked after me very well for a couple of days. The Indians really were very friendly and keen to talk about the country and hear about the UK.

I then split from my new friend after arranging to meet again after i did some sight seeing.

Temples

I stayed at the top of the village over looking the temples and the most amazing drumming could be heard at intervals throughout the day and night, the acoustics as it rose up the hill at 4am was very special.

Some temple sticks 300 ruppes a stick about 4 quid.

These were not the strongest but they certainly did the trick. Hash and Mango aroma.

I took walk down the road and drunk chai and picked these up.

Both cost 500 ruppes about 6 quid a stick.

A look inside.

The thinner stick was less juicy and broke clean but the fatter stick did not fully break as you can see in pic.

Fragrance Mango, flavour very nice.

I then met my new Indian friend and we travelled near Corbett national park home of tigers and lots of other wildlife.
The guide used my card in his posh camera so pics are very good quality compared to mine!

We then met up with some of his friends from the area and visited some hill area which is used for farming etc.

The deer are Cheetal,the bird looks like some form of shrike?Wouldnt it be good to be back there now,I love looking and reading about peoples travel experiences,nostalgic :yinyang:

Closer look inside a few. The really brown stick tasted really spicy. cant remember what these cost but very cheap.

Lots of chillums were smoked, good times. Good high and company this part of the holiday really just fell together perfect after meeting my new friend and all his friends.
