Critical Mass! What do you all do with the old kit you no longer use because you upgraded or improved? I gotta get rid of some of my crap somehow and stay safe. I've everything from 15-litre pots and washing up bowls to supernova shades and an ecotechnics environmental controller, 16-way lighting contactor not to mention at least half a dozen assorted duct fans from 125mm up to 250mm all in perfect working order. I'd like to sell them or give them away rather than just dumping the whole lot in a skip.

Any ideas would be much appreciated, everything I think of is tantamount to hanging a "cannabis grown here" sign on my front door.

why not chop it in at a grow shop, my one always has a load of used stuff lying around for sale

It's a very good question and I'm keen to find out ideas.
Is it not difficult offering stuff on here due to addresses etc ?
I have recently boxed away about 3 boxes of old stuff, from hydro net pots to PM Soil Bloom, into a corner of my loft cause I didn't know what to do with it.

Keep hold of it, if you can, stash it away from grow op, you never know if your gonna need it again.
I had a shedload of stuff and sold it all, when i got bust they took all my stuff, and now i'm regretting that i never kept my surplus kit 'cos now i'm shelling out for everything again.

This is a good point that you raise. Its amazing how much crap gets collected then upgraded. I worked hard to build a super stealth cab but the house is absolutely littered with paraphernalia!

Safe option, hadn't considered that, good idea. I only know two locally and I haven't seen evidence that either sells used kit but I'll ask next time.

I'd love to do that but there's a few reasons why I cannot. Primarily because selling stuff here (even if it's only for a couple of quid to cover P+P) is against the UK420 rules. It's a good rule, keeps everyone safe and anonymous.

I feel your pain. I've stored it all for at least a couple of years already and I'm sick of moving it around every few months. Comes a time when you gotta unload.

I constantly upgrade and improve each summer to try to avoid that scenario. I'll be taking my room apart and upgrading several aspects that I'm not happy with over the next few months whilst also bringing through a couple of new strains to grow either in the autumn or beginning of next year. Someone's offered me a couple of dozen cheese babies which I may just take in the meantime but these things rarely materialise. Besides it's nice to put your feet up a little and enjoy as much of the summer as you can between work and family and everything else.

Hi,
uk420 doesn't accept equipment freebies for comps or auction because of guarantee issues if the stuff packs up.
A friend told me to clear his loft out of new equipment. I only wanted a few things but I had to take all of it.
I offered a brand new unis co2 doser and sealed bottle of co2 that they sell in the growshops, up as a auction/ comp prize if they wanted it.
I was pm'ed by a mod saying thanks for the offer but they didn't accept equipment for the reason i've stated above.
