Evening,

I have recently finished a Super Lemon Haze grow.

After cutting the 2 plants I brought it down stairs to trim up. Next thing my wife gets a call from our 70 year old neighbour saying she can smell something that she recognises from before (another story that involves her knowing the smell of a grow) (not mine!)

So she says "I don't care what other people do, but when it affects my house I care!" also "I have not contacted anyone"

Now I have not been around to see her yet.. I am planning to go tomorrow to explain I smoke it for my back problems, but also I prefer to grow my own so I know what I am smoking.

Questions?

1. How often do I need to change a filter?
2. I have a 8" filter connected to the extrat plus a Y shaped piece with a 6" filter and fan pushing air through air cooled shades. Is this an issue?
3.. The SLH was smelly, so if I can smooth things over what strain would you recommend to keep the smell levels to a minimum?
4. Should I keep growing, when the neighbour knows?

I would think of something else to say TBH. 'A friend was over who I don't see very often and he was smoking in the house'. I wouldn't tell her I was growing as there is a serious risk she'll mention something to a family member or friend at some point and although she may not care, they may well get someone to check you out.

Hi mate I wouldn't tell her you grow that is far to risky just say you have to occasionally smoke it to ease your back as you say.

Problem is I rented the house a few years back and they used the room also..she tested positive to thc in blood stream from the leak in smell... She had old bill over head and everything but they said it was too small to do anything about?? So I suppose it's an omen... I just did not want to lie to her as she would not respect me?!

Thc in the bloodstream just from the smell of the plant, sorry but I think she's talking bs mate.
Go and see her asap tell her you smoke a joint occasionally and your sorry for the smell and it won't happen again.
Next time harvest next to your carbon filter not downstairs in the living room/kitchen, and get a few car smellys they work wonders on chop day strategically placed.
Also I wouldn't worry about what strains you grow, you've only been rumbled because you bought fresh cut bud downstairs away from your carbon filter. As I said do all your harvesting next to your cf and you should be fine.

You're mistake was doing your trimming outside your filtered area.

If you can't chop and trim in the tent then at least do it in the same room with the door shut so that the smell's being sucked through the filter to some extent. I also do my chopping after midnight to minimise the risk of people catching a stray whiff.

I don't understand your fan arrangement. Can you clarify? ie how is the coolshade extraction connected to the main one? Where are the filters in the run? I would try and keep them separate personally.

Dont tell her you grow, just say you smoke it for your back problems, tell her sorry and you wont smoke it indoors anymore. And then just make sure there is no more smell!!

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago, naighbour knoked on saying her gaff stunk of weed I had a tent full of ugorg blues haha. This blagg worked for me also put the old charm affect on buy her some flowers to say sorry or summit. Should be sweet too still grow then
