just a couple of quick questions if anyone can help....on an nft 901 does anybody use t peices at pump end to distribute water evenly over top tray?found that water doesnt hit top corners of tray, and do you keep plastic on rockwool or remove it?i hear if you remove it this allows better oxygen absorbtion yet keeping it on reduces light penertration and prevents algae build up?and with rhizotonic what ec do you set seedlings to as they are delicate about 0.6ish?

thanks once again guys

Yes, I used a T piece and I used to leave the plastic on.

I say T piece is a must:D even on my small nft205 i made my self long t piece out of a old pen and made small holes into the side of a pen for even distribution of water. I dont quite see how that plastic on cube will help to prevent light leek, especially as it only covers the sides and the light source is above it, just make sure you cover the top of the cube, i use several layers of aluminium vent. tape.
Take care.

Always do mine around the .5 .6 ec but's that with a mix of Formulex and Rhizotonic, the little ladies love it mate.

With the plastic on the rockwool, i've done it with and without, i just find the plastic helps keep the rockwool in shape, otherwise i didn't notice any other difference.

Good luck with everything. :yep:

Leave plastic on in veg to make roots grow down and remove in flower for extra oxygen

I've always taken the plastic wrapper off and had some mother of all roots coming out the side of the block in my NFT. I can't see how leaving the wrapper on can help in any way. Hope this helps.
