So Im going to spray my girls with harkers as there's a few thrips in the flower tent, not many mind :spliff: . As the girls will be 2 weeks in 12/12 by the time I spray them, would it be advisable to spray the girls down with plain tap water a few days after there 1 and only harkers dose? Cheers Al :guitar:

I could be well off :smokin:

Evening AS,

Personally, i would give my ladies 2 or even 3 treatments to clear a pest issue (FWIW I have found spider mites MUCH more persistant than thrips) using a couple of different treatments. You are in flower, but still early, so not real "buds" to rot... what i would say is that 0.5ml/ltr harkers seems a good guide, but some have used 1ml with no issues... BUT i havent found that to be true of SBPI, where the reverse is more applicable... i used it at 10ml/ltr as directed on the bottle...my mums and cuts took utmost exception to it:

I have also since heard of plants in flower, revegging....

However, it IS effective, so IME, something under half strength of SBPI 4 or 5ml/ltr could be useful. (e2a : i think i will use it at about 1ml/ltr as a wetting agent)

I have lately used Neem Oil again and found that to be very effective also.

Along with sharp sand/pebbles on top of pot.

To answer your Q, No i wouldnt think a spray of clean water is required.

Hey Chairman, thanks for taking the time to respond. Thats good I don't have to spray down with water after as I didnt fancy the extra work :wassnnme:. So going by your advice , Ill probably give them a spray at .5ml per litre , do this 2 or 3 times. Should I wait a couple of days between spraying? or should I do it 1 day than the next day and than the next? Yes Im lucky there's no real buds yet, any later and I would have been sweating. Thanks for the heads up on the dosage for the SBPI, going to order some to have as a back up. Cheers chairman, Al :yinyang:

Morning AS,

You need to break the life cycle of bugs, some will be adults, some just eggs....some treatments work better on bugs at different stages. So you want to spread your applications out one every 3 days or so would be best so you have a better chance of the treatment getting to work on all of the emerging beasties!

Be sure to give a thorough spray, under the leaves in particular. I use a pressure sprayer with a wand (below), much better than the pump type.
