Hey all. just wondering whats the best way to lower my humidity. i have a 1.2x1.2m grow tent, with rvk100 extraction. im a week into flower. my r.h. is ranging from 65 to 75 pcnt. nite temp bout 18c and day temp bout 22c. i understand that rvk100 mite not be quite up to scratch and if i got a more powerful extractor fan rh wud decrease. but wudnt temps also decrease? and obviously i dont want thir as im already on the lower end of optimum temp range. i also understand that i cud possibly use a dehumidifier. so what i wud like to know is ,will a cheap mini dehumidifier do the trick? if i can avoid paying 100pnd plus for a beasty dehumidifier id be happy! wud be greatful to hear what other people do to lower rh. any input is most welcome... cheers guys

what temps you getting lights off the fan isnt doing the job you will need bigger extraction and possibly a heater to keep it warm at lights off cause when your temps drop your humidity rises also what light you running?

Agree with B here.
Get a bigger extraction fan and make sure you use an oscillating fan to get good circulation.
IME, high humidity isn't a problem providing you keep the air moving. There will be times that due to the ambient conditions you cannot get the humidity down.....even a dehumidi will only have a limited effect as it can only suck up so much per hour.

People are overly paranoid about humidity IMO.....cannabis plants actually like humidity providing you keep up a good air exchange.

Good luck :)

Possibly but you want at least a high power 5" for that space.

What light are you using to get just 22c lights on?

Im using 600w hps, the ballast is outside the tent. night temp is bout 18c... i have a heater outside tent, placed infront of intake hole so air sucks through the fins and comes in warm. i tried putting it in the tent but it too big and wud burn leaves. i only have heater on when lights off. the day temp ranges between 22 - 24c...i have a 6inch desk fan blowing between tops and lamp, which is about 14inch gap..i cud get bigger ex. fan i spose and leave the heater on 24/7...or buy a 125wcfl reflector and put in for extra light and heat. would this work? thanks all

You should really upgrade the exhaust fan :)

Doubtful that early into flowering.

Make sure you have plenty of clip fans inside the tent circulating the air... you can never have too many of the noisy bastards. :)

I have the same tent as you bud & I have a 6" fan & CF in there, my daytime running temps are always 25.5 but with the hot weather my temps have been hitting 30 day & about 21/22 nights with an RH of 42%(day)with passive intake so I would recommend you pick up a 6" for your tent with the hot weather coming, it'll be pricey if you buy a good one but it will be worth it.

All the best.

Ok, sound. was considering the 5inch l1, but i will get the 6inch a1. think it has been cooler coz it set up in my basement, theres a masive air vent as basement is only half underground,so theres quite gud air flow. the house is pretty cool even with the weather like this. but think its necessary to upgrade for sure. thanks every1. i appreciate the help. this is all a lot more in depth than i anticipated!

if the room not air tight have the intake fan on the light timer, so when the lights go out so does the intake fan
this will reduce humidity
