Hi and welcome to my Sweet Seeds 2011-2012 competition diary.

I thought I'd use this opening post to introduce my diary and to explain how I am going to keep it over the coming months.

  • I there will be two elements to this diary so you can either read a short version or a longer version. I will be using Rollovers to keep more detailed notes. So if you want to read a bit more in depth about something hold your mouse over the words that are underlined with dots. This way I can keep a brief and to the point diary, and you can read as much or as little as you like.
  • I will only be keeping one diary for all of the seeds that Sweet Seeds kindly sent to me. I tend to find that lots of diaries become confusing and the content tends to repeat itself. So to keep it simple I will be detailing all nine seeds in this diary. To keep things even simpler there will be a colour code for each strain and each plant will be A, B or C. You will see what I mean when you see my first set of pictures.
  • There will be a useful rollover section at the bottom of each update post. This will contain information about the strains and my grow set up and other information. This means you don't have to go off searching for it, it's always there and easy to find.
  • There will also be a useful uk420 links section at the bottom of each update post.

The rollovers section and the links section will be added to as the diary grows so if you want to see the most up-to-date list of links or rollovers skip to the end if you are reading this after the diary is completed.

I don't want to waffle on too much as I want to get the show on the road, but I also feel it's worthwhile giving a brief account of my dealings with Sweet Seeds so far. So anybody coming to the site considering buying some Sweet Seeds products here is how my dealings with them have gone so far.

So I have put my seeds into soil today and will be starting the diary proper in the next post, so with out any further tadoo on with the show and welcome to what could be the winning entry. In which case you could be reading this after I have won a trip to Amsterdam and probably fallen in a canal, and have never been seen again..........

Here to start are some pictures of the germination process and getting started. They are pretty self explanatory, but should you want to know anything just ask. The one thing I will say is that some of the seeds started to germinate whilst being soaked in water for less than 12 hours.

I have germinated by soaking the seeds until they sink in darkness, but under a 150cfl. I have then transferred the seeds to seedling compost and watered with the water they were soaking in. I have a friend who has a near 100% success rate when germinating like this. I don't have a great track record for germination so fingers crossed. So here we go, my competition diary is underway. Good luck everybody and I welcome all comments and questions.

Thanks for reading,

I_L_M_G

Thanks very much mate, the Cream Caramel is getting going, I was surprised to see it crack so early on. The ones that cracked so early caught me out a bit! I hope I AM in for a treat with Cream Caramel but growing virtually any cannabis strain is a treat.

Thanks for being the first poster in my diary. ATB with your grow I'll be having a gander at your diary sometime in the very near future. Need a little sit down, it's taken me ages to get this grow and diary going.

lol lol if you're referring to holding the camera and having both hands in shot. I can't possibly reveal what I am holding the camera with. Actually I have an artistic director - some people say smoke comes out his ears when he's holding a camera taking pictures of bud :photo: and if he was a country he'd be Jamaica on acid - all I know is he's called the S_T_I_G. Stupid Twat In Graphics. He's responsible the the artwork. I'm responsible for the grow. We're both fighting about what to do if we win any prizes still.

Yeah I was referring to the 3 arm muliti-tasking , I was saying the other day how much easyer it would be to take pics if i had threee arms:) Still wouldnt turn out as flash as yours, nice touch.

:yinyang:

Edit to add , its not 3 arms then its 4!! were all doomed! :)

Hi Tommy yes you are right I am enjoying myself. A bit too much maybe! It's taken a lot of work to get this grow and diary up and running, but I am really excited about growing these strains. I have a hunch the Psicodelicia will be the strain to watch in here. I found a Psicodelicia diary of yours Tommy on another website and the flowers looked amazing. Then there is the Flo genetic in Flash Back #2 to watch out for, and Cream Caramel sounds like a strain to die for. So they could all turn out amazing. So yes I am really excited about what will happen - can you tell? :)

Can't wait for the plants to break the soil now! Atb Tommy, thanks for looking in.
