Maybe have a look, they grew really well.

You wont get any "old school stock" now mate

You'll get Skunk 1 but it isnt the same as it used to be

i done some sensi sk1 not so long back, nice plants, good fast root ball (filled pots like a rooty thing rooting) fair yield, strong buzz, only problem was it had that cheesy, cheese taste/smell wrapped round it that i really wasn't looking for, the end product was nothing like the sk1 i remember and quite liked! :nea:

So what are the options if a decent skunk #1 is no longer available? Is there an alternative? What would your self, meaning Mr Layne and Owderb recommend?

Thanks

Tony

Tony, I have been looking for ages but having failed to find that distinctive smell and bud structure, and of course - hit, I have pretty much given up. Blues comes close, but has its own unique smell.

It's that distinctive smell that seems to have evaporated, and structure.

Thanks for the more informative reply Arnold, you never know it might just help to find the old skool skunk #1, although I doubt it!

Be interesting to hear your thoughts Owederb on finding a decent Skunk #1 alternative

Thanks

I recely tried three versions of Skunk #1.

Sensi Seeds Sknunk #1 - Bad germination, only 1 female. She produced lots of leaf with no THC, or any buds either.

Flying Dutchmens The Pure (What they call Skunk #1)- I found boring, as did others that smoked it. Had 3 diferent females, all of which didnt wow anyone. Did look like they go have gone an extra week, perhaps that would have made a difference.

Dutch Passions Skunk #1- Good germination and females. Nice and skunky, but not what I remember Skunks being. Nice enough that I kept two different females as I could not decide which I liked more.

I still have Mr Nices Shit (Skunk #1) to try.

I think as others have said, the true old Skunk is gone, but there are still some nice strains named Skunk none the less. Its the effects of breeding and time, things come and go.
