This is my 1st time trying to grow veg and without any outside space coz im in a flat the windowsill is the only altenative.

A trip to my local haskins turned into a day out trying to decide what to buy.

In the end i went for the usual suspects strawberrys, chilli's, tomatos and peppers. Ill be going back tomorrow to see what other lovelys they have to offer im thinking of some salad and maybe a few radishes

So far ive spent about £14 on plants in 10cm pots bought about a week ago so there gagging for a repot so tomorrow i'll be getting a 1 metre plastic sill box costing £15 including the run of tray.

I'll be popping in the pound shop for compost,bambo sticks,perlite,vermiculite,chicken poo, tomato food and few other bits and peices.

Im inpressed with my elsanta strawberrys, ive been polinating them as the flowers bloom and so far have had 100% succuss there already little strawberrys and still in the small pots so cant wait i should be eating them within the 2 or 3 weeks yum yum...

The widowsill gets good light and direct sunlight from 11am til 6pm then i sit them in the sitting room window for the last few hours.

potting up tomorrow so im expecting them to really take off. All plants have flowers blooming i started to pollinate the tomatos earlyier today as there first blooms have shown.
For the tomatos im using and electric tooth brush and for the strawberrys a thin paint brush and that seems to work a treat.
Ive even cloned a few suckers

Hi there you could grow your chillis etc in a grow tent when there get bigger if you have room, just a thought.

Or not, Imo chilli plants indoors are like spidermite heaven.
