Last season I bred single the Nanda Devi male that had a incense and mango smell to a kc33/afghani hybrid. We tested one seed indoors and it came out completely nanda in structure, growth, flowering time and appearance with some of the kc affy smell. Has anyone else tried breeding the nanda? if so what did the progeny come out like, are they Nanda dominated as well? I have some more seeds started for the up coming season but am unsure of the phenotypes I shall receive, I am expecting predominately sativa phenos much like the one plant. Also as an attempt to further diversify the nanda/kc affy we have bred it to a strain with genes from godbud and dp's green spirit. We are expecting a wide range of phenotypes with the characteristics of being highly vigourous and resinous.

that's interesting to hear that the Nanda was dominant
because it may explain how in its home village it is possible for the Nanda strain to be grown every year alongside a different 'dati' strain --- and of course grown in the Himalayan way, with all the males of both varieties dropping pollen everywhere
the two varieties seem to keep their characteristics despite that
(although I would note that the dati strain from this village seems to make better charas than pretty well every other village I have been to in Kumaon except for the one village I got the strain called 'Kumaoni' from)
