This is the dutch passion Super iced grapefruit a of the original Iced grapefruit from female seeds.
This post should be moved to the Duch passion grow forum.
The bad reputation it brings belongs elsewhere.

Sorry to see you have had some problems with these iced grapefruit. I personally have grown out over 20 seeds of this alone and not had a single plant show that sort of bud structure. I usually grow in 11ltr pots using the full plant magic range of nutrients and average around 3-4 oz a plant under a 600watt grown via scrog.

I can't say anything about dutch passion personally as i think ive only ever grown out there powerplant once and it was ok but fairly standard in taste and high but each to there own i guess.

The colour of the leaves seem to say your plant has had some cold temp's as your getting crazy leaf colour which i wouldn only attribute to low temps.

in the last 2wk's of around 10 i suppose temps may have dropped a little but it was quite evident well before that there was a problem, at 5-6wks when you'd usually see an 8wk plant start to fill out but not with these. they also spend a few days in the dark because i couldn't be arsed with the depressing thought of chopping them.

i've grown in this small area for a quite sometime now, i did have a problem with temps getting to cold and causing mould in my usual fat, fist like buds until i put a rad in, which my intake blows over when the lights are off, but i have never seen buds grow like this.

oh yeh and i did find quite a few male flowers when looking closely but no seed in the bud, on the upside it is quite a nice smoke which is a shame, wonder how the clones will behave.

I'd ditch those clones if I were you buddy. Wouldn't want to risk it happening again. You could try contacting femaleseeds directly through their website. I've found them to be very helpful and quick to reply. Hope your next lot turns out better for you

There is no way that those plants are iced grapfuit.
I have grown this strain twice and have got massive buddage on both grows.
Both under 250 watts.

Spot on. Just finishing my 4th lot of these and there's so much bud the branches can't take the weight. If these are IG it's something you've done, or not done, not the seeds.

well its been a while since i last posted in here but i beg to disagree with its something i've done.

i have another 5 of these seeds on the go just now, out of 5 there are 3 different phenotypes lol and this one has appeared again! though it has filled out a bit better the purple leaves are there! and none of the other plants have purple leaves so it's not my environment ;)

anyways i'll post some pics later just to let u guys see.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune Botrytis with the Iced Grapefruit, I'm growing one of them now and she looks superb having biggish buds already. I also grew one around 2 years ago from the same packet of 5 seeds I had and that smoke was one of my favourites and there was plenty of it too.

Here is a couple of pics of my current IG at just 5 weeks into flower and so obviously has loads more weight to put on yet.

The only difference here is that my seeds were purchased over 2 years ago so could the new ones have changed somehow?

Are we comparing iced grapefruit xline to iced grapefruit?
from their site: The X-Line
The X-Line was developed with the intention of creating limited editions of exclusive strains/crosses for the enthusiast. As soon as a variety is sold out, it will be replaced another variety. Each X-Line bag contains 5 female seeds. Small batches are not tested.

^ I was looking at the bud pics in this thread on the bus and this guy was looking at my face and I swear he thought I was looking at some dirty porn judging by his facial expression. Gives a new meaning to the term bud porn.

nowt better than a bit of bud porn :D

a wee update, i decided to give them the chop today, a couple of them probably could have gone another week but i ain't taking any chances of mold.

got to say the buds are pretty damn impressive out the cupboard and trimmed, very chunky and dense, pleased with the results this time round i think just need it dry out right for a proper smoke test :)

And after the chop, I must say the Iced Grapefruit looks to be a very good yielder. I had the Iced Grapefruit and a Bubblegummer both in 20 litre pots in a scrog and as you can see there looks to be a lot more IG.>
