I've caught a cold off my kids, the tickly chesty cough is driving me up the wall! Haven't smoked for three days, I intend to tonight. Any ideas for reducing the harshness on the throat? I'll be bonging, maybe use ice? I don't want to have a mad coughing fit after clearing the bong and waste each bowl!

Cant really help with bongs, but for joints I used to put 2 filters in instead of a roach.

Just about made it bearable.

I find weed helps if I have a cough. First few tokes might aggrivate it but after that it's almost like I feel my lungs open up and that first deep breath after finishing the joint is amazing.

1 teaspoon local honey + 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon works wonders, also for people with asthma, take everyday before bed.

To be honest I never really found ice in a bong to be that good for lessening the harshness. What I found to be the smoothest smoke in a bong was actually to use steaming water - not boiling hot, but steamy. Something about the added moisture (cold is dry) perhaps  If you go out with a bad chest on a really cold day that cold air can feel like breathing needles.

E2A and steam inhales are good when you've got a bad chest - with menthol, or Vick's or summat, but I'm sure the steam plays a part, moisten the tubes or whatever - cos nasty coughs are generally dry ones, it's the dry coughs that rag your chest & throat.

Hot water in a bong dissolves more stuff out of the smoke too. If you are coughing thats probably a good thing.

I tried cold water one night and warm the next, not much difference really. I found that the cannabis smoke opened up the airways a alittle, and made me drowsy enough to sleep despite the urge to cough. However, the cold has turned into some kind of flu hybrid, I have now stopped smoking again...I want to diiiiiiieee... :puke:

Even when I am bedridden chocking to death with a cold, flu, cough I still smoke both weed and the B&H.

I'm very disappointed. I expected this to be a thread about lovely busty ladies getting high.
