Dirkdiggler, I know that everyone's different but I found that cannabis in any form was way better than any meds the doctor ever put me on. When I was having a bad day with cramps I was always amazed at how quickly the cramps subsided and my whole body relaxed, literally within 10 mins of having a pipe or joint. One thing I will advise is if you smoke tobacco with your green you will not get the full benefit, tobacco irritates the gut considerably.

As Cambium has said you get far more benefit from edibles but smoking still dose an amazing job. I found it never truly rid me of all pain, but then again neither has any pain killers from the docs, where the herb truly came into its own was distracting the mind from the agony and discomfort that they body was in.

Best of luck and health to you mate :yinyang:

e2a: thank you Arnold, I know that you understand more than most what its like to live with serious long term health problems. Your posts on living with chronic pain have helped me on more than one occasion mate  :yinyang:

The lethal dose ratio (LD-50) for cannabis is estimated to be around 1:20,000 to 1:40,000 which means you have to consume 20,000 to 40,000 times as much cannabis as is contained in one cannabis joint to induce death. This means you would have to consume something like 1,500 lbs in 15 minutes to induce a lethal response. There are no known fatalities from the substance and it is considered non- toxic...

Cambium,

It does sound like they have removed rather a lot of my bowel, and I suppose at least my surgeon has not led me up the garden path about having a reversal, he has always told me he does not consider it to be an option. I'm also well aware of the hell you have to go through having the reversal, it sounds far worse than the op to have the bag, and the fact that the disease can come back to ravage you.

I suppose I'm lucky that I'm already married and have a family, it would be a killer at my age ( mid thirty's) to have this bloody bag and be single.

Rabid, thanks for the support :stoned:

e2a: sorry Twigs didn't notice your post there. I've had a pretty comfortable morning thanks to a very small amount of oil. What a truly brilliant plant!

All the best! Im sure all of us here are sending positive vibes, I know I am.

Interesting about making oil from import hash. A few tokes of oil in a quarter, sounds about right to me :D

Cheers for all the support I've received on here people, it's been a major boost!

I do feel a fair bit more comfortable today, still fell a touch nauseous and painful depending on how I move my body but the specialist at the hospital said to expect be tender for a week.
