Not an issue if there’s some left in tray, all gets wicked up eventually.  
If you top pots right up with medium will be more oxygen in top 20mm of soil & matter less if bottom is submerged.

They will eventually get topped up mate to support the young seedlings as they stretch for the light..ive only got some moody t5,s that ain't great so this was the plan from the start.. makes sense what your saying slim still rather use an extra tray after thought and they may get a more even watering that way without some missing out in anyway :yep:

How do my fellow stoners.. notmuch to report here today, just a waiting game now..

Seedlungs comming alone nicely, few slow boats and the odd stunted ones but most are doing great considering there not in the most optimal conditions.. 10 days or so and most of these will be out on there earhole and left to fend for themselves under the big light in the sky...
