Specifically Steve Weed Fem.  I selfed a Steve plant a year or two ago.  Never tried to germinate them.  So I'll be running one bean of Steve Fem made a couple years ago. 

 

 

I typed the whole story on Steve Weed, but cant be bothered to do it again.  I suppose I shall if there's every enough interest.  But until then....

Steve Weed. I was introduced to Steve Weed when I met Growerbuddy at work.  We figured out that each other grew dope, and Growerbuddy gave me some "Steve's Big Shit" seeds one day.  I didn't grow the seeds at that point, but I did go out to Growerbuddy's place to check out his plants.  The pride of his crop that year was a 7ft tall Sativa Dominant Hybrid looking plant.  That's Steve Weed.  I was pretty curious how it got the name, so I sorta asked some questions.  I ended up getting the story that follows, more or less, regarding Steve.  And Steve Weed. 

 

I'm stoned and tired of thinking about punctuation. 

 

Steve is this dude I've only heard about. I've never met the dude, but he sounds like some sort of legend of the forest shit.  Some sorta magic hermit dude, from my perspective.  I dunno.  Anyhow.  Steve is something like 78 years old and, allegedly, grows a pretty large harvest of " guerilla grow" dope every year.  I can confirm someone grows it. That's pretty much all I know about Steve, aside from his part in the story of where Steve Weed came from.  But we're not there yet.

 

What.....Oh... Steve Weed.  Yeah.  I've smoked a literal pound of Steve Weed.  It's usually way over dried.  But, you know.  Cheap.  It isn't what I'd call potent.  But it's got a pretty good-time high.  Not particularly sleepy or dumb.  It feels fairly sativa, by my spider sense.  You can go about your day great.  One thing that I don't like about it, though, is that you can't really smoke it and get clobber fucked, if you're after that.  It's got a pretty low ceiling. Growerbuddy has grown Steve Weed for...5 seasons?  I grew several plants outdoors in 15 gallon pots last year.  Anyhow, after being around it for a couple seasons, I wanted to know what it really was.  So I asked some people to ask some people to ask Steve where the fuck he got these seeds from that he started with.  Allegedly, Steve couldn't find seeds for good weed whenever this was.  He got fed up and flew to Jamaica to get weed/seeds.  He brought the seeds home and started growing them here.  He makes his own seeds, for next season.  I have no idea how long he's been doing this but, as I said, they tell me he's a fairly aged dude, present-day.  So that's the story on Steve Weed.  It's a locally IBL that traces back to Jamaican heritage.   That's the story as it was told to me when I asked someone to ask someone to ask Steve where the original seeds came from. 

 

 

I mean, I don't believe that.  Just relaying the details as they were given to me. 

 

 

It's probably just some bag seed that some dude named Steve got and kept growing.  

 

So anyhow, I made some fem seeds last year, I think, for Growerbuddy.  He wanted them and I wanted to try STS.  Cracked some seeds, got some females, STS so on and so forth. 

 

So I'll be growing fem Steve Weed. If the seeds germinate, you know.  I got other junk to try if they dont.

I like these old stories. We had a few like that around here. Poppy's thai grass come to mind. I still have a few Welsh seeds which are similar supposedly a Durban or Durban type inbreed line. Thanks for enlightening my curiosity

I found my bean  in a dealer bag too.. was thinking the other day it’s been years since I found a bag seed. The ganja gods have gifted me this one. The seeds rock solid, I have high hopes for it (to germinate )

 

Got my eyes on the T-shirt, strain is Mimosa. I wouldn’t have a clue how that will do here. It’s sativa so maybe finish late? Will see

I am here to enter this fine competition. I have a decent sized mother plant. Stardawg. Certainly not an outdoor strain. My plan is to continue growing it indoors until it becomes truly HUGE and then some how transport it to my plot and put it in a HUGE container with plenty of good soil.

 

I've spoken to the lad whos started this and he said I'm welcome.

When I left the game many years ago you had a company called pukka seed’s advertising they’re new strain that they said would overwinter in the uk and in time populate an area naturally or something to that effect. Anyone any idea what happened to this? I see they stopped operating not long after/

I remember that strain, although I thought it was from doggies nuts. At the time I was told it was snake oil, apparently they where basically just a scam seedbank/breeder. 

 

I did see some of Esben/HFH stuff last season that apparently overwintered in open ground up wherever he is, was very surprised, was always told canna seed couldn't survive freezing conditions.
