Over watered now yellow leaves. Help!

20 posts in this topic

Hi guys

Hope your all well, I haven't been on a while and started a S.A D auto grow around five weeks ago in Clover MPS.

So all was good watering them with a drop of Fish mix until week 4 when I over watered both plants and that water had a teaspoon full of Epsom salts in it. The next day very droopy leaves so I did not water for 4 days. Yesterday both pots were bone dry and light so I gave them just 250ml of clean water each ph6. As you can see the leaves are yellow as fook but the leaf droop has reduced a lot. Any advice on what to do know is most welcome. Cheers.

Are you not giving them any nutrients? They look hungry to me and the Clover will have run out of food by 5 weeks. Also you don't need to adjust pH with soil.

A drop of fish mix won’t cut it, they’re flowering! You should be on the bio bloom and bio grow by now, they’re definitely hungry

I've always found Clover to run out of food by 2 weeks if I hadn't potted already.

Definitely look hungry and overwatering hasn't helped. Wait until they need watering again then start feed accordingly.

I wouldn't panic. Maybe a little more food. What range are your min/max temperatures? I have had similar problems when the temperature of the soil/compost drops too low the plants seem to stop feeding.

If 19c is lights off you should be OK. 22c lights on is marginal but again, in the ball park. Make sure you get a good wet dry/cycle especially this time of year. Don't kill them with too much love. Buy a cheap moisture meter for plants it will help you know how far down the pots the moisture is. I bought one it has helped me to stop over watering.

I'd be feeding from day I see first pistils ,1ml grow and bloom.

Where your at now I'd go with 2ml bloom 1ml grow.

Also by week 4 it should be hard to overwater as plant is big and even 11L pot should be rooted, sound more like irregular watering schedule or Temps were low.

Check my autos thread I had some ups and downs there but got some pretty big plants after first fail.

Can I ask as you have experience with clover, what is your feeding schedule with is soil, like after two weeks what do you use and do you change it later on ETC?

Im using 1ml Grow 1ml Bloom to 1ltr water now wet and dry cycle so like 250ml each pot on Monday then miss 2 days and water again Thursday. With this soil I was missing only 1 day and over watered them. They have recovered now thank fook. This is my 3rd grow and first time over watering so they not as big as expected but blooming good.

(All in the context of me growing photos)

@frank0420  TBH when i hit mid flower i never managed to dial it in perfectly, i was using Clover MP with BioBizz nute, I'm not sure what was making things more difficult I'd hazard a guess at the BioBizz nutes combined with me growing a different strain every grow. So I'm probably not the best to ask with the two above products, but i tried to do it by eye what the plant was telling whilst trying to follow the feeding chart to some degree.

I switched to BioBizz soil and Intense Nutrients for my current go and things have been a lot smoother, but there could be other factors at play like the strain i'm growing, better knowledge and a bit of beginners luck lol

Current plant is a Ace Seeds CBD #1, I've been told she's a hungry strain

Spelling and added a bit about reason for mentioning strain
