Buds feel greasy and not sticky

Hi all I've currently got some cookies kush in late flower and like the title says the buds are feeling greasy and not sticky at all. They have been like this from when the trichomes first appeared, I thought they'd get sticky later on in flower but they have remained greasy. The plants look healthy so not sure what's going on. 

 

If anyone has experienced this or know anything about it please let me know what's up.

Genetics. There are I think three different types of trichomes. Look into making hash and you’ll find the info you’re looking for.

@SnakePlissken thanks you're a legend. I've heard people say about the sandy grit type but had no idea what they were talking about up until now. I've only ever had sticky type up until now so this is all new to me.

I’ve had that with a sunshine day dream pheno. Was a blinding smoke, in fact some the best I’ve tried. Not really seen it since. Still burns your fucking eyes if you rub em while trimming though  . Wouldn’t worry about it at all long as the plants look healthy,

i've had fuelly smelling buds that made my hands feel wet when touching

I've got a Pakistan Chitral Kush cross in flower at the moment, like the others I've grown it's come out PCK dominant with greasy resin which smells like polish, very nice berry vimto flavour should be there when I vape it.

 

My favourite is like from ammo, large trichomes very sandy almost, not sticky, very sifty.

I'm not the best photographer and was kind of busy but grab a few close ups. The temps have been between 77f and 80f lights on and 70f lights off.

Not sure about the greasy issue but looks like the leds need to be dialed back a little bit as the leaves are pointing down and purpling up a bit much.
