Calcium deficiency in hard water

What do you think of those numbers

Based on your per litre numbers your current ratio is 13 : 1 . You want to get your mg up to approximately 7. Your water is very soft so ensure you're using soft water nutrients.

If you get canna mono magnesium you can correct your ratio by adding 0.08 ml/L . It's a simple correction using 1 ml syringe

Alas, hard or soft does not tell you your calcium to magnesium ratio. You need to look at your provider's site and check the analysis data. You want approximately 3 : 1 calcium to magnesium for calcium to be properly mobilised (calcium is immobile and hitches a lift with mg).

:yinyang:

Never knew about 3:1, thanks for shedding light.

Oldbear - I am giving old timer plant magic a go for a change, as there is plenty of calcium in the hard water, would it make sense to add Old timer pm magnesium in an attempt to balance the ratios?
