Using 2 x 600w instead of 1 x 1000 . Variables

Please can anybody advise. Is it possible to use 2 600w bulbs instead of a single 1000w bulb to cover the same area. If so  would they be better next to each other  or spaced apart. Also what height should they be . Tia:)

That aside yes ittis.

 

Depends on the shape of the area for how well it will work but yes 1200w can cover the same or more area than a single 1000w.

The two 600's can be kept about 16-18 inches above the canopy. You don't want them too close together as you're just losing footprint then. Although if there isn't many plants in there then fair enough.

 

What space are you trying to light?
