HOW TO FLUSH PLANTS USING AUTOPOTS

Good evening all, 

 

I am wondering if someone can be kind enough to advise on how to flush plants when using an auto-pot system? I read on someones article it would damaging to fill the res with plain water and leave them?

The water would mix with what's in the pots anyway so i would flush from top watering to waste anyway last waters. Take them out the trays perhaps and water to waste and throw away.

 

Annoying all grow but fine for flushing  as your nearly there anyway

Opininons will differ.I just follow the instructions, reduce feed then plain water through the res, works well. Ill try and find the vid that the designer did on the subject,it makes sense when he explains it.

Could not find his vid on it.My learning from it was that any feed that is not taken up by the plant will move up through the pot by osmosis and then evaporate leaving the excess at the top so simply keep everything moving through in that direction.
