I'd start with cold roots and nitrogen toxicity but that's just my opinion. Green vision is probably more on the ball than myself.

It's a plant, not much to see here. Carry on I say.

Do ya give them plane PHed water once a week. Before I started doing it salt build up was an issue with mine. My run off EC would be sky high. I know its not gonna give accurate readings from the coco but if its well high then it tells you its a possible problem.  My 1st few grows the leaves clawed down and tips burned then got lock out. Now I alway check my run off and give plane water once a week.

Also I never go to the labels max strenth with feed. At the very most I get to 2 thirds. But gradually work up to it.

Im no expert tho mate. I just know it works for me.

Not really good practice in coco dude, if you need to you are feeding too high in the first place.  You should be adding feed to every watering with coco until the plain water stage at the end.  A low ec watering will also wash out more salts than plain water.

Thanks guys for all the messages.

ill give them 2/3rds strength feed for the next few days and see if that stops any new growth doing this.

hopefully it’s not stunted them in anyway and I’ll be able to get a good harvest.

anyone else using Spider Farmer lights ? Interested to see what others opintions are of them

Like i said im no expert. But it works for me. It has for the last 8 years.  Ive seen different ways people use/feed coco each having success. So if its not good practice what is. When i 1st started using it people would say you have to leach the coco once a month to stop salt build up. I put 40 % perlite in mine and people say its to much. We have our own  little ways of doin things. So to say its bad practice i thing is wrong really. But what do I know hey? 8 years solid growing in coco and maybe I aint learned anything.

But it works for me

Good for you man. Coco needs to be kept 'conditioned' with ec and pH levels. Giving plain water can fuck with the cation exchange in the substrate. If it works for you, awesome. But it's not recommended.

Sorry for the sarcasm at the end of my comment mate. It wasnt needed.  But yeah it works for me. Ive got a diary in the Dinafem section. Have a little look. Im about a couple of weeks away from flippin to12/12.

They look good, a bit of tip burn probably from slightly too high ec. As suggested drop the ec a bit and the tips wont get worse. Most coco peeps only hit 1.6+ at the peak of flower though it depends on water supply, watering frequency, and nutrient line used.

Thanks man, that’s actually really helpful. The feeding schedule Dutch Pro gave me was specifically for Autos but on there it says to start bloom on 2.0EC , I was on about 1.6 as I didn’t want to go too strong , obviously I need to go lower and work up to 1.6 at peak

Top man really helpful

Hey , just a quick update incase anyone was wondering how I’m getting on.
I checked the PH of the run off from both plants. The smaller , more droopy one was at 6.9 and the healthier one was at 6.2.

I did a PH’d balanced flush on the smaller one 3 days ago and let the coco dry out quite a bit more than I normally would. I gave them both a reduced EC feed (1.2) last night about 45 mins after the lights come on (as usual)

Today the little one looks like she’s bouncing back already and I saw considerable growth from her, particularly from one of the main colas, as well as looking all over healthier. The other one seems to be thriving and there’s been no more burnt tips.

hopefully I’ve solved the issue but I’ll keep you all updated. Looking to increase the EC gradually to a peak of about 1.6 - 1.7

Im using Dutch Pro A and B and explode ... anything else u guys would add in the coming weeks?

Even 1.6 or 1.7 might not be necessary man.  Last grow if I went above 1.4 I got issues.  It will depend on your plants.  My last grow were totally happy and needed no more than 1.2ec for most of veg and 1.4ec for the rest of the grow.  I threw in a low feed of 0.9 every two weeks too, and I still couldn't push them any harder.  The plants will tell you dude, just watch tips and leaf colours.

That’s good to know man, I’ll keep it as is for now, maybe push a little harder when I see proper buds growing
