A little help for a newb

Hey Guys. 
 

newbie here. I’m doing a small grow and I’ve hit the flowering stage. 
my leaves have started going very light green /yellow and started to turn downwards. 
 

im not sure if I have a deficiency or over watered. 
ive attached a couple pics. 
 

im using Dutch Pro Auto Flower Nutrients. 
 
I think I’ve left changing over from grow to bloom feeds too late. 
(they’ve only had 2 feeds of bloom) 

 

Now I know I over watered on during the veg stage but I thought I got back on track with it. One is considerably larger than the other but they’ve both started to bud. 
 

I'm using the Dutch Pro Auto Flower bloom at EC 1.6 

 

any help advice ?

To answer your question, they look OK mate. You will get a slightly lighter green growth in the new growth areas. The pics are quite hard to see, but I think they look all right. Maybe a little under fed, plus the cold weather don't help, which may be the cause of the clawing. 

 

Overall though they OK to me. You're at the stage where the plants are going from veg into full blown bloom mode, you will see the odd bit of change.

Just worried about the slight yellowing on the tips and starting to bend.. 

the middle of the 3 photos you can see it best, sorry I took them through the viewing window on my tent... I try not to open it unless it’s for feeding or training. 
 

so they look good yeah? Just carry on ramping up the neuts until I hit the right EC levels ? 
 

another question I have ... I’m using Dutch Pro... when I stick to the correct Millilitres I get a really low EC reading . Is it better to go by EC reading or ml ? 
 

and if you say EC , I would be adding extra A and B but should I also add extra explode as well?

It's a very good question mate, and an age old one too. 

 

Its growers choice really, I usually grow hydro, with the odd soil in between from time to time, so I have hydro equipment. I have seen feed's that were mixed up as the bottle says with low EC do great as well as vice versa. 

 

The best thing you can do is watch the plants. Its not a easy thing to do, but if your environment is good that will really help.

 

Right now its freezing cold outside, so if tent / room is cold, say 20C - 23C and you get clawing, its hard to judge if your getting a nutrients problem or just have really cold roots. 

 

As a rule of thumb burnt tips and leave edges is usually over feeding. Clawing tips downwards indicates high nitrogen, the leaf folding in the middle (Taco'ing) is temp or possible humidity problems, leaves going a lighter green is telling you to up your feed. 

 

But again these general rules wont help much if your environment is all out of whack. 

 

But again mate, as an overall picture those plants don't look too bad at all. Keep em' warm and stick to the nutrient labels advice and they should be OK.

Well tbh , I bought it on amazon. Maybe I should get the calibration fluid just to check. 
I did email Dutch Pro about and and they told me their feeding schedules are more or a guide than anything else and they base it off Amsterdam water which has a PH of 8. 
that’s all I really know

The leaves look as if they're darkening from the outer edges and the tips are yellow (some with reds/browns) from what I can tell.  Looks overfed to me.  There could be environmental or PH issues causing this but I definitely wouldn't up the feed.  All-in-all though, pretty decent job so far...

Light - 18/6 Spider Farmer SF 2000

Temp 23 light off 27 lights on 

PH of run off 5.9 

PH of feed varying between 5.6 and 6.2

 

Ill upload a whole plant pic tomorrow once I get the hang of this site, might have to use my laptop to do that as I can’t see the option to create my own gallery

If your feed temps at 20c, i 'd just drop down to 2/3  of the recommended ml's for a few days .

You think I should just give them plain Ph’d water for one feed just to flush any unused neuts out of them first or just drop it down a bit on the strength ?

Feed em 2/3 strength til you get plenty of run off,is what I'd do
