DIYLEDUK-CXM370-Custom Rolling Diary

98 posts in this topic

Hi all, this is a rolling diary to display ongoing adventures with the custom CXM370 LED system provided by DIYLEDUK

As you can see the CXM370 is on a smaller frame, roughly 50cm x 50cm

Newly added and to make things more custom we have placed a Vero 1750K COB in the middle to add extra red, this has just been bolted on separately with everything supplied by DIYLEDUK, as you can see it's run off a separate driver which wasn't too hard to mount and make tidy.

We've already completed a grow with the CXM370 without the added Vero COB, if you fancy a read you can see it here

If you don't fancy a read, here's some of the results

Posting some separate images for this diary, I'm about ready to go to 12/12 could do with a couple more nodes on some, plants are 14", had to adjust the wattage down from 150 to 140, the plants are 24" away now and at this maturity even 140 watts is plenty of light which means leaving the light on 24 hours will cost me the same as having the light on 12hours when I bump up the watts for flower (we'll start at 250w but won't quite get to 280w)

Some light stress pics - 24" @150w only 2 plants bottom left of first shot like this intensity, they also happen to be the 2 favourite plants of this grow.

Down to 130w, this San Fernando Lemon Kush really doesn't like the light even at 24" how does it cope in Cali? lol or Spain even!

You can't handle mah COBs bitches! or the Ultra White paint by Dulux with the lumatec? lumitec? tek! ah it's just extra fucking reflective!

Going 12/12 soon, fingers crossed these don't streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetch that much, the 3.5L pots are rooted out so that should rein it in. :chains:

Cheers @Hammo44 he's good is @diyleduk built it for me because I couldn't, not to that standard as you can see my "bolt on" red COB efforts, bit difficult with 2 drivers but I managed to tuck it all up tidy. :yep:

I always get the Red Dwarf theme tune running through my head when I look at the lights, reminds me of the light they used for the engine on the back of Red Dwarf. I'm a bit geeky like that. :nerd:

Thanks for looking in mate, love the Avatar!

Haha yeah I see what you mean about Red Dwarf....got the tune in my head now.

Yeah man it's a thing of beauty and your girls certainly look like they love it as well.

I'm waiting on a scope V2 220 from Mr @diyleduk, it's on preorder so hopefully it comes in the next few weeks as I've just planted 2 new autos and would like to see the light results when they go into flower. I've gone for the far red option as well.

Cheers man. Those 2 pissheads keep me laughing my ass off. Think I'm on my 5th or 6th watch of Trailer Park Boys all the way through

PAR map for the CXM370+Vero Custom

24" Distance to canopy - I tried the 250w at this distance as this is where I'll start flower. Plain to see why I was getting stress from the plants at 140w we're at the top end of the umol bracket for Veg (200-400) at 135w, we were middle of the park at 120w with numbers around 300 umols.

13" Distance to canopy - Here's where I aim to be at after stretch, took the opportunity to see how I can balance the red Vero in with the whites from the Luminus Gen 4's, I'll go with the Orange configuration this time round. As you can see with the CXM370 set to 250 watts we have ample umols for flowering, I was probably pushing with the Quick Critical run going at 265 watts.

@diyleduk any time you can check on this mate and let me know your thoughts would be much appreciated, would you go a little lower on the umols for flowering?

The numbers are optimal but i would be trying to run the light a bit higher up. 16" would be optimal, it may cost you a few extra watts but worth doing.

@diyleduk thanks lots, I did have the canopy in 14"-18" range last run so you're spot on.

Some of these kushes are fussy mares I tell you mate if I didn't need the numbers I'd be putting them out to pasture!
