Cuttings

Evening all I’ve managed to get hold of some zcube cuttings I will be running these in rdwc I will start a new dairy very soon.  They are just rooted in root riot cubes they just don’t look great and I’m abit concerned.
I’ve never dealt with cuttings before and only ever grown from seed so not that clued up on feed requirements etc, I’ve put the cubes into a bed of clay pebbles as I wanted to get the roots growing out more before I put them into my new system.

Starting with a litre of RO i mixed a little h&g root excel with sensi a+b grow and a drop of super thrive to EC 0.3

Temps lights off 19 & 62%RH

Temps Lights on 25 & 50% RH

Under twin t5 tubes.
should I be aiming for a higher EC I start low with seeds but I’m guessing these are totally different.
Any ideas would be much appreciated

Whenever I have had cuttings, I have still started them on a low feed. Honestly I have seen much worse looking cuttings so don't worry about them looking great. Getting em rooted is the main thing, now they will start to pick up. I can't even remember off the top of my head tbh as ain't used an ec metre since mine gave in. Pretty sure I was giving more than 0.3ec though, usually start around 0.6 if I remember right.

Be good to see some photos of yours once in flower. Just run the zcube myself but feel I messed up some what on the drying. Gonna be running it again though as cuts are ready and seeds haven't arrived yet. Was a really nice plant in flower, frosty and smelt amazing. Even with my messed up drying it's came out decent. So this time wanna get the drying right and really see what the taste is like.

@stummer thanks for the reply, there roots are looking good nice bright white and thick fingers crossed they start to take off this week it must be stress due to them being moved/different environments etc.
the next feed Ill make stronger then see if that works them up makes sense as they are mature already being cuts I guess.
I will be running a dairy for these I’ll tag you once I’ve started. it’ll be my first run in rdwc upgraded from dwc.
ive not had any zcube before so looking forward to it, been on the look out for some zkittles and these came available the fella from IG showed me videos of it and it looked really frosty.
That’s a shame the drying didn’t go to well for you better luck on your next run though.
cheers again.

0.3 ec of sensi in ro water is less than 1ml per litre mate

i start my cuts off at 2ml per litre of a and 2ml per litre of b and that comes out at 0.8 ec roughly

@greenvigilante yes your correct it’s only 0.5 of each a+b but that’s how I start my seeds off and they do well. 0.8 seems very high to me especially as These will be in rdwc.last night I gave them a feed of 0.5 EC I can see new growth now and it seems to be a good shade of green so hopefully I’m on track now.

seeds are 1 week old ect newly started

cuttings are as old as the plants u took them off

obv do what u feel best but 0.5ml of each isnt enough imo to get proper nutes through to the plant esp when using ro

obv do what u feel is best tho bro :)

@greenvigilante

yeah that’s true with the cuttings being older tonight I will make another feed slightly stronger around 0.6 and see how they respond to that thanks for the information.
