Help required.

I am new to growing. I have a new Red Dragon seedling which sprouted 7th October 2019. Veg with 40w Led until my 400w HPS arrives next week. Using mostly sunlight in my kitchen window and only using led when it's night time. But no matter how far from the little girl I put the light she keeps stretching. Even right above her she grows into the light and I have to move the light again. Any advice is appreciated. Like I said this is temporary until my HPS arrives.

Keep it away from sunlight. That will be a major contributor to the stretch, not the LED. Better off just using the LED until the HPS arrives

40watt led should be more then enough for a seedling I wouldn't worry mate you can always bury some of her when you pot up to lose the stretch if it's really bad.

When the seedling is in the window the stretching stops when under LED it starts. Strange. But my 400w HPS is being delivered Sat morning now so should be fine till then. The seedling is 3inches tall now I covered the rest of her up. Once my HPS arrives what's the hight it should be set at. Also what nutes do you guys recommend. Many thanks

I don't really care what height my hps is at mate I just stick my hand under it when iv only got a tiny plant and if it doesn't burn my hand I'm golden. But once plants started to grow and I turn up the wattage I just roof my light and leave it. The grow im doing now will be last time I veg in this tent so once it gets roofed it's staying there. Only really have it close when it's on 250watt
