Ecothrive Soil grow log

25 posts in this topic

Okay well this is the start of a much belated grow log, I'll be using ecothrive Soil courtesy of @diyleduk

And growing 24kGold clones provided by a friend.

The clones arrived in 2inch rockwool cubes and got placed into the pots on Friday afternoon.  They're still alive now which is the longest anything has lasted in the loft in months so I *think* I'm okay too get this diary going.

They're a wee bit raggedy looking as you can see bit I'm sure they will perk up.

No bluemats as yet, just hand watered for now.

The other diary in the dinafem section will continue once it's safe to fine up the second tent again (any day now basically)

For now apologies for the late start, and fingers crossed for good things

I'd have to check with my mucka, I'm sure he did say but buggered if I remember!

In my defense this is either the 3rd or 4th lot I've had off him in as many weeks.

I've had a REALLY unlucky run of late

Everyone keep ya fingers & toes crossed for me plz!! I'm down to my last jar here now!! lol

@diyleduk

No rush mucka the worms have been busy if nothing else, they definitely looked fatter when I put this lot in, hopefully they haven't just eaten all the good shit lol

Three of them are going great guns but back left is a bit behind the rest as you can see.

I think I need to treat for mites as I have a feeling they've come with friends! Typical of my mate tbh.  He's good like that!

Another week and I'll move them over to the big tent.

Okay, these 3 have gone in the big tent today. 600w HPS 12/12

They look small but it's cos the tent and pots are massive lol

I've held the smaller one back gonna try and top/bush it out a bit and use as a mum.

If these all double in stretch they'll be plenty big enough and with a little luck be done in time for a Christmas/new year ish time smoke.

I don't know if it's the ecothrive Soil or because I'm using the jute mats but I literally haven't had to water them once since they were potted into the bags.  They had a litre each to bed them in and since then nothing... Suits me! Proper lazy man's grow! lol

We'll be following these 3 mostly but I'll throw in the occasional pic of the vegging plant just to mix things up a little.

Good luck, I'll be following. Love a bit of 24K - strong but relaxing and oh so tasty.

How's the mite situation?

One plant seems worse effected (far left of picture).

I'll be giving them the treatment tomorrow morning at the start of the dark period so they got plenty of time to dry off before lights on.  And 8-10 weeks before chop so I ain't to worried about contaminated buds.

Most of it will end up getting concentrated anyway.

Well they didn't stretch as much as I would have liked but everything still nice and green and no sign of the mites at least.

Still on plain water and not even much of that.  Probably had about 4litres each total.

Hard getting pics in the tent, I'll clear some space in the loft so I can get them out for a few snaps soon.

Thanks for looking,
