PC packed up?

48 posts in this topic

Must be a long time since there was a thread like this: I must be one of the last PC users on here, one reason for this being that they are easy to fix. Until now. suddenly without anything major having been done to it , it has taken to restarting constantly about 30 seconds after booting. Doesn't matter if it's in Windows or the BIOS, or if booted in safe mode.

No new hardware , CPU running at normal temp.

I haven't a clue even after all my years of bodging PCs, any ideas welcome folks.

Macs are inventions of the Devil and I don't see how it could be the PSU.

Thanks Ratdog, I think it should be Windows too but can't see how. Ananda you are right it should be hardware if it's doing it in BIOS. Maybe the SSD Windows is on is failing.

Sancho maybe you're right, it's an old-ish 450w don't know what brand. I've got a spare.

You are saying, you don't think it could be the PSU but it might be the PSU.
