I have an idea

For us outdoor growers would it benefit us mold wise to somehow push each bud outward so they grow on their own. Because my thinking is the mold usually happens where all the buds are clumped together around the tops of the colas. Has anyone tried this already?

Best way I've found to do this is to grow the plants like grape vines i.e. branches and therefore the growing tip

tied down horizontally. This encourages smaller individual buds rather than large colas.

Easier enough in a greenhouse but not really practical for our guerrilla growers I'm afraid,

although they're a pretty resourceful bunch so it wouldn't be surprising if someone could

crack it. Mould is definitely minimised I have found and if it does occur it's just the one small

bud affected. Hope this helps.

P.S. Not all plants (especially the more Indica leaning) like this method of growing if the tip is tied

down too frequently - they more or less stall so it's horses for courses.

large.IMG_20190911_175453_6031.jpgso would your suggestion be to wrap those long branches around canes ssort of twisting them around. The stems seem very stiff to be bending them over. @highdihigh2@highdihigh2 I already tied the branches down if you mean low stress training which has created all of those tops.

I wouldn't mess with that plant..it looks good and there plenty of room in there for air movement..

Nice looking plant:skin_up:

Ive seen people stake plants open with good effect. On a smaller scale tho, in pots, but just scale it up

Hi @Arshlay - some nice LST above.

I think the trick of producing more but smaller buds/colas is to keep the growing tip horizontal.

Let it grow a couple of inches then tie it down again - seems to work for me anyway.

Of course you need some kind of frame to achieve this - I tie wires from one end of the greenhouse to the

other and use that. Not really applicable for guerrilla though.
