Thought: Using an ultrasonic terrarium/reptile fogger as a pesticide fogger?

Has anyone ever used an ultrasonic fogger / fogging machine with insecticide?  Most thermal pesticide foggers cost about £200 or more.  You can buy ultrasonic fog machines for about £25 (made for terrariums/reptile owners), or create one yourself with parts costing about £10 from amazon.

It might be a cheap, potentially effective way to hit all areas of your plant easily without creating a mess, since fog drifts everywhere?  However, I'm unsure whether it would work with pesticides, or whether the fog molecules will be dense enough to be effective.

I'll look forward to hearing your thoughts.
