Plan-A, IH-driven DiY ideas for DynaVap VapCap enthousiasts.

Recently i happened to comment various topics which i'd illustrate as follows, essentially:

Now lets make an effort to stimulate the imaginations of a DynaVap-focussed audience, eventually.  For starters i'd suggest starting with my conclusion linking metal susceptor mass to its elevation of temperature, while considering specific heat capacity to be practically constant over the range of application (hopefully)...  If you're a "1-Hitter" who expects a single 20 mg toke from a single temporarily-stored IH-driven "Heat Charge" then perhaps you may also accept that the hard fact that DynaVap's present VapCap alone just weights too much already when compared to my ¾g 17-Holes Metal Disc, at least 5-fold using a 500+ Watts IH driver if delays are to remain compatible with the sort of "Micro-Bursting" i get access to myself, thanks to the power of fire as well.

 

The juxtaposition of Silicon Carbide foam and fire is patented intellectual property owned by Dan Steinberg (VaporGenie's inventor), but i yet have to find references which legally forbid IH-driven scenarios based on electromagnetic power injection combining SiC foam technology in absence of fire, precisely.

 

So, it seems to me this idea is worth a direct response to a basic question:  how much does the DynaVap Circumferential Compression Diffuser Screen weight exactly?  And even better yet, what's the VapCap internal metal contact-surface area actually converting temporarily-stored energy from conductive/radiative vectors to a more convenient re-balanced mix of convective, radiative and conductive factors interacting in a context of delayed heat transfers and other transitional events that i find puzzling enough to recourse to a DiY challenge (read invitation rather than ultimatum!)...

 

Pardon me if i must sound crude but i'd investigate radical transformations centered on the helix path inside a VapCap if that needs to remain the main source of temporarily-stored energy, which implies cutting the rest of its metal handle, if not trimming a VapCap's mass down by removing wasted contact-surface somehow...  Honestly i feel challenged myself all the sudden, not to mention it would cause the loss of DynaVap's most desirable feature under the circumstances:  its audible clicks!  But then i'd respectfully point out that a custom-designed IH driver may as well "scan" the susceptor during some "calibration phase" with the purpose to adjust IH power injection in such way to match the Heat Charge to its final cannabis Workload.  It turns out DynaVap can certainly attempt to selectect Curie-effect alloys to enhance the electro-magnetic scanner process relatively to temperature - which is the point where to connect with my last (formula) picture.  Briefly put it's an exceptional opportunity ignored for no fair motives.

 

So, honestly, if i were as much an enthousiast DynaVap VapCap owner than i'm a Customized VaporGenie Micro-Bursting user then i'd suddenly feel an ugent need to verify what the weight of my CCD Screen inside.  If lucky it's near to 0.75 grams and i've gained sufficient perspective to strongly insist that DV CCD Screens get evaluated in a context where Loto Labs (Evoke/Lux) AND Dr. Dabber (Switch) flatly failed in terms of Dry Herb, so far...

 

No doubt the DV CCD Screen can be inserted pretty much the same as i do with my 17-Holes Metal Disc inside the Hybrid Core - and then lets also consider a single IH driver coil may as well manage with 2!...

 

That's where the fun becomes obvious at last, once the trained eye knows where to look:  e.g. a single cannabic bowl can undergo pulse-heating from both sides and inflict the convective heat vector a change of 90 degrees while it serves as a Release/Transport Agent, releasing noble goodies through "The Shortest Path of Lesser Transformation" effectively.  You can't do that with a genuine DV VC as sold, yet in all fairness i'll admit it's not specifically designed to get IH-driven neither.

 

Who knows, perhaps if users stare long enough they'll realize too that it's actually been done before, just not yet.

M'well, although less cryptic emoticons could suffice anyway, i'll spontaneously admit this meme-based 1-liner socialisation attempt sure reminded me of my own stylish allusions to (alleged...) NASA guys failing elsewhere - not to mention Egzoset sees no value in anonymous forum friendship since the alias was created in 2010 (imagine virtual BitCoin credentials!), etc., etc...

Yet i must confess that i did enjoy watching Red Dwarf on TV, in the nineties as i vaguely recall!...  :med:  Forgive it if i sound confused by such emotive display!

Now that you got your minute of glory (while cyber-criminal attacks clearly affect my internet connection in the background...), please lets repeat the IH-centric invitation addressed to skilled hackers capable of joining hint dots together and apply underlying principles from my "Plan-B" LAVA "1-Hitter" strategy;  e.g. i guarantee it will eventually confirm DynaVap's overweight VapCap is counter-productive in any portable IH applications!

Naturally, brute force can't really impress when all which ultimately matters is the temporarily-stored "Heat Charge" after its primary energy source has been removed...  In other words clean-burning butane and/or electro-magnetic IH power injection can both cause a metal core "susceptor" to reach some desired target (IH Curie-point) temperature which combines with specific heat capacity, mass and other NASA-like variables (...) to target contact-surfaces (where tiny trichomes float among relatively massive vegetal tissue) while related discrimination in pulse-heating mode proves most useful.

 

So...

 

As you can imagine my challenge to DUPLICATE and PEER REVIEW stands more than ever!

 

Future motivated reader(s) should aim directly for "Plan-A" in order to acquire 1st-hand experience of truely packetized (precision "Micro-Dosing") applications.

 

To do so obtain a sample of VG's SiC foam pellet (or an equivalent "health Stone") and cut it into 2.5 ~ 3 mm thick "pucks" while DynaVap's CCD Screen assumes its susceptor function in the middle.  Curie alloys (such as PyroFoils, for example) would render DV's (click) audible feature totally pointless, primarily by implementing self-regulation within a similar neo-intelligent SPACE-AGE alloy itself (ref.:  http:// www.jai.co.jp/english/products/py/pyrofoil.html), then by "scanning" magnetic properties to allow cycle-stealing as a function of some desired inferior temperature.

 

In any case never forget this (safety-limiting) ceiling temperature only sets a maximum energy-storage level for an Hybrid LAVA Core, complex recursive transformations including delays shall occur before convective/radiative heat vectors even flood the bowl, with near-ZERO time to thermalize...

 

The thing about temperature is that it only reflects a past physical event;  it's energy which needs to be controlled in my pulse-mode consumption method, with no room for slow/steady "Hot Dry Air Ovenizing" emulations (à la Volcano/Arizer) while my LAVA proposal is based on dynamic transitional behaviour instead.  Which of course is possible simply because heat always travels at finite speed, especially in matter.  NASA or not...

If still curious about Egzoset's funny world merely attempt to find 4 ~ 5 years old posts calling for 3rd-party (NoFlame and similar) IH drivers as one might come to realize the same past obstructors are still responsible for today's multiple FC-reported SJK relay contact failures, despite long-forgotten (flooded) mass restriction warnings exactly...  A word of caution though:  proceed before it's finally erased in support of similar memes.

Love reading your posts here and the other forums you used to post on :realcool: :geek:

 

A Vapcap heated by induction is quite efficient already in comparison to other vapes on the market. I have a 2 IHs a bag of vapcaps and bunch of other vapes so I can tell you I get more hits per watt of stored battery power with my Pipes IH and a Vapcap than I do with any other battery powered vape I've tried or own (somewhere in the region of twice as much). Of coarse, it'd be nice to get more out of the batteries or have a more pocket friendly portable unit tho :)

In principle it's certainly more compatible with rich affordable broad-spectrum aroma/taste experience when compared to expensive/complex/fragile thermostatic (frozen-in-time) extraction methods, though "Micro-Bursting" performed as i'm used to will actually require optimized (e.g. minimal) "attack" & "decay" delays plus a dense/potent yet brief "Energy Burst" or "Heat Bubble"...  Using the very same cust. VG contraption i routinely wander between rather ordinary tokes vs enhanced ones (in manual fall-back "Plan-B" mode), hence DynaVap's IH users could easily remove such variance by adjusting their IH-driven Heat Charge to its WorkLoad, while i roughly evaluate ~4/5 of it presently gets wasted for some obscure purposes other than flash-vaporization.

It's difficult to make statements without numbers but i feel my Hybrid Core solution (with a 0.75 gram susceptor) can multiply this performance many times while offering a safer setup where no dense power source under extreme stress ever gets close to a person's face, or even double that using a Near-Symetrical DynaVapsule with analog output control...

The 17-holes Metal Disc could as well be replaced by DynaVap's CCD Screen, perhaps even maintaining its clicking feature - yet in all fairness i still got to wonder.

Allright then, i'll try to keep that in mind!

 

At the moment Dan Steinberg aka VaporGenie remained completely silent despite my repeated pledges in favour of IH integration to his legal patents (7434584, 9445629), so it's still a "niche" free for the taking essentially - just not the "Bi-Energy" part though.  Perhaps expert people with a trained eye can identify similitudes and develop their own genuine alternative based on past observation gained via a Prototyping Platform as mine, and/or future novel DiY IH experiments inspired by it.  Nonetheless i urge eventual interested readers to take over as i reached the limits of my own personal expertise while the present sluggish context feels extremely demotivating - plus i have no hope for butane-free IH Inlet Water support anytime soon.

 

Imagine how a rationalized (portable) energy budget starting with early blueprints might perform knowing that brute force already works despite an obvious lack of sufficient IH driver adaptation!

In addition please take note that the amount of stored energy expressed in joules can be evaluated when mass, temperature differential and power-injection time are known, to help guide following pioneers, etc.

Some more help with failed DynaVap imagination:

Instead of a disc try a tube and carve spiral trenches on the external side.  Fresh Air would enter from the outer right, get heated via a spiral path leading to the CCD Screen (optionally) before it enters the SiC puck from its far left side, hence recycling part of an energy which would be lost otherwise...  Behaviour can be expected to feel similar to a thermal catapult where the Heat Charge needs to build up relatively slowly, just before it's used almost instantly to avoid thermalization.  A radical change of strategy from that of the Volcano/Arizer...

Between the Splinter and the Dynavap these have become me daily drivers..

 

Been looking for something more portable than IH's for the vapcaps, other than torch. Genreally for them weekends away.. where nothing looks too inconspicuous on air travel..

Being a juice vaper.. Keep coming back to the RDA + 20-24awg wrapped..

 

Any idea's?

IMO this translates as a waste of energy in both cases nonetheless.  DynaVap's equivalent susceptor even worsens the situation because it's overweight (so far...), while i initially feared the deal with a Splinter would possibly reside in progressive contamination of its e-Liquid tank (from direct repeated potential over-heating exposure in conduction mode).  But this perception is only based on its external looks though its supposed to be for Dry Herbs, right?...

Butane torches and electromagnetic IH-drivers already represent high-performance forms of portable (high-density) energy, the problem is about designs still requiring major corrective measures such as rationalized energy management performed early at the blueprint stage, for starters...

 

The one thing i appreciate about e-Cig scenarios is the Loto Labs demonstration of a 1-Battery IH-driver with most of its User Interface externally transfered to an iPhone or tablet, to gain more portability with very little compromises on advanced session features.  Many months ago i suggested temporary heat storage to fix its vaporist elements, then the same about Dr- Dabber:  to implement a thermal slingshot where "Heat Charge" buildup rate can remain slow and yet support "flash" or "pulse" heating/vaporization (or release)...  E. G. an energy "bubble" accumulates inside some Hybrid Core directly juxtaposed to a bowl, then it moves into it nearly instantly only to leave almost as fast a few hundred milliseconds later, thanks to "The Shortest Path of Lesser Transformation".

 

Now about being stealthy enough to cross international borders safely, i'd point out that glass and ceramics as Silicon Carbide Foam may prove less suspicious during an X-ray inspection, while the simple presence of any high-density source of energy on airplanes would seem seriously objectionable at best...

 

Think of consumption methods other than on-board inhalation if you must, with an eventual energy-spending phase performed previously, as in heat "activated" concentrates perhaps.

 

Too bad right now dispersal of energy for no useful purpose as promoted by DynaVap's fanbase of followers actually blocks progress towards more suitable solutions with no exposed burning-hot surfaces.  Anyway expect little improvements in portable vaporism surviving the extreme stealthy requirements of an airport environment as suggested, or maybe consider getting rich selling your findings to "stoner"/"droÿé" terrorists!...
