Mate works in the fruit and veg industry (buying from farmers/growers and selling to supermarkets). Was out with him last night and he commented that he was visiting some site yesterday and the grower there said it will be more of the same until mid-end of April. Apparently that's the long range forecast. Grower was in Kent, we are getting it shite down here too.

95% of groundwater levels are up to normal levels in spring this year...

 

in 2022 we started with low levels...

Be careful what you wish for lads, I'd rather be digging in the rain than lugging water in the sweltering heat. We don't really need sun till after solstice, plants veg just fine in the rain.

@murphyblue, military surplus rain poncho will keep you dry but allow air to circulate underneath so you don't sweat too much. I recommend the Bundeswehr ones: tough as old boots, and ultra waterproof.
