Is This Leaf Septoria / Yellow Leaf Spot?

Hey my fellow smokers...

I am in the middle of my first grow and I have been told that it is not looking good... stunted growth for one thing (31 days old from seed) and told they should be twice if not 3 times bigger... Last night i had these spots appear on the lower leaves on one of my plants..

Auto Northern Lights.
75x75x200 groom
450w Vespa LED (on 24/7 to help moderate root temps as the groom is in the shed)
4 x 11ltr Wilma
Carbon filter extraction fan
heating tube (set to come on if the room drops below 21c
temps between 24-27c
humidity 45-50
using Ionic Grow with cal mag due to previous advice (i had brown spots forming and it was thought to be mag def)
PH 5.8-6.0
PPM 700 – Water out the tap has a PPM of 310 (i was on 1000 and trying to creep up to 1200 for the start of flower but two of them started showing nutrient burn) they were taking a lot more water out of the res so dropped to 700 and they seem to be doing ok, not sure if i should push it back up tho?

I am struggling to get advice on my grow so any help would be great.. I am going to finish the grow even tho i have been told to forget it and start again but its a learning experience and maybe if i can figure out where i went wrong then i will do better next time..

I have given them a spray with Neem oil about 3 days ago but these spots have formed after the treatment???

Thanks

Did you spray neem oil at lights on?  If so the oil droplets may have acted like little magnifying glasses to create heat spots on the leaves.  Always spray during lights off.  I know you're running 24/7 But even so,  lights off for a couple hours after spraying is advised.

Hey @Phoenix thanks for advice, i did leave the lights on so i will turn them off next time i give them a spray. Wouldn't I have seen this issue over all 4 plants if that was the cause? Still sound advice i will follow.. Cheers mate

It may not be the root of your issues,  but worth bearing in mind.

Good advice from @Phoenix, only foliar spray your plants with the lights off as like he says, the spots could be burns as the droplets magnify the light.

I still think they should be more developed at 30 days, your temps seems OK, so the issue could be pointing to the feed or the light, which I'm not familiar with, maybe ask in the LED section as LED's can be picky about distance from the tops of the plants. Maybe also search on here for diaries of people growing the same strain to see how their's look at a similar age as failing the other two, it might just be genetics?

Hey man, I can't help with your problem as I'm a newbie and growing in soil, but I'm also doing a Northern Lights Auto (RQS) and just as a point of reference mine was a fair bit bigger than that at 31 days old. Flowering was coming on nicely too.

I'm a week ahead of you but can provide a pic if it helps at all?

Hopefully she will pick up for you, all the best.

Thanks @Serpent I agree, I looked at pics of 30 day NL autos and mine are tiny in comparison, i have tried reading everything i can about LEDs, NL grows and Wilmas to see if others faced the same problem, if i put the lights closer they get leaf burn or start curling up to breath so i had to back them off again.. I think i may have messed the PH up or the level of nutrients.

Don't worry about the pic @Riki Takeuchi i know they are small, the biggest (the one with the issues) is only 19cm tall... I think i will give the feed a push above 700ppm and the lights another go to see if it will help in getting them growing a bit but I am at a loss so i will just see it through to the end and maybe try a soil grow next time as I don't seem to be getting to grips with Hydro

Good luck mate, hope it works out for you!

Again I'm new to this so not the best judge but she's doing me proud in soil, didnt get as tall as I'd hoped, but got some lovely big buds forming and they're starting to look REALLY frosty. Very easy strain to grow for beginners I've found. Had no problems with her so far whatsoever. If that one doesn't pick up for you (fingers crossed) definitely give that strain another shot.

I will do mate and thanks, i still have 1 seed left so might try that in soil just to see how it goes and then get a new batch..

Sounds good! Some really helpful folk on here mate if you run into trouble. I'm going to do a diary on my next grow and definitely running Northern Lights again.

If you haven't read them already there's some great guides and diaries on here, I've found both Serpent and Blackpool Bouncers stuff to be invaluable in getting started.

Can you get a thermometer with a probe in the pots? I found my root temps were 2-3deg cooler than the air temp, which may explain the slow growth?

@Riki Takeuchi Yeah i was all over their posts and doing my best to emulate their grows... think i flew a little too close to the sun on this one!! appreciate the feedback mate and i will keep an eye out for your diary, i had taken a bunch of pics and notes from this grow and was going to put a diary together but it seems a little pointless now, will maybe do one on my next attempt :)

@seb88 I dont think my current temp probe can go in the pots but i will try and grab one this week to see if that was the cause to be on the safe side, i was running them on a 20/4 light cycle but up'd it to 24/0 to try and make sure the root temps didnt drop..
