8"silent box fan too 6"carbon filter ?

hey guys quick question, all in the title. is that ok to do, or is it too much strain on fan. i need to make room in my 1.2m2 tent. my carbon filter is 8" and the really long one too. my shade is a parabolic.  what can i do guys?  i don't want to buy a new 6" set up, due to having my 8"silent box fan, my intake is 5" and is connected to my fan speed controller.

could i get a 8" cool tube attached to ducting then fan and then ducting to push the air through my carbon filter in my attic (carbon filter will not be in tent) ?

cheers guys

I wouldn`t, you`ll more than likely damage the fan.

you need to make sure that your fan is not trying to pull too much air through the smaller filter

ok cheers guys.

what about using just a cheap little reflector instead of my 1M parabolic ? are they worth it for my space, i am only running 600w HPS in the summer ?

600 is fine for that space regardless of how you hang it, I`ve had some of my best results with a small horizontal cheap reflector, but it`s a trial and error thing tbh

well i would rather start my trial and error at the cheaper end of the spectrum, no pun intended. will get a cheap reflector too start with.
