17 posts in this topic

Awaiting my order coming from the USA of 4 v2 quantum boards x 2 240h c2100a do I need a multimeter for testing max powers running ok ? I’m starting a new project In a 5 ft x 3 ft space with 720 air intake and 1200 air take out so looking forward to seeing the results and putting a 2.4 meter tent away with 2 315cmh and plenty of 600hps to see if I can at least match the cmh yield per plant not see of green. Cuttings 24k tangie and holy grail kush dna genetics lovely quality 7oz dwc on 1 tangie min veg so guessing with bigger veg 12 upwards, hoping to get 7- 12oz per plant growing max 2 to 3 plants, what do you guys think I’ll get ? And any information on multimeter will be appreciated :)

No need for the multimeter. Buy yourself a kilowatt plug and you can work fine with that. It's all I used on my original QB Boards.

Will that let me know everything is running fine? I have been slightly confused after watching videos on wiring in series and parallel ect, but  I also watch this video by led gardener test the boards out at crazy ma ect they never blew up, I was half thinking of a constant voltage driver but have got 2 constant current for 4 boards

Take my advice and look at the sample diagrams of how to wire the boards to your driver etc on the hlg site, really is simple. Only tools you should need is a screw drive and wire cutter. No need to over think and make things harder..

I'm looking to order similar board from hlg in America. I dont think u need to worry about customs opening it, my question is how much did they charge u in customs duty? And how long did delivery take? I can't find any UK suppliers for v2 boards.

Cheers

They will mark it down for you if you ask so you pay very little. I paid 20 quid I think. While back now.

DIYLEDUK is getting them, as he's becoming the HLG UK reseller (his words). There is also the Spanish company on the HLG website I forget their name ,i suspect they will be getting them, that'll be cheaper than from the states.

I saw an email for a UK supplier but I'd rather buy from someone who has a website ebay shop etc.

Invisible sun are getting them too apparently but i am not sure if their boards are better than hlgor not? Anyone any experience. Dunno if I can wait for this might just order from US

Invisible sun are not gettin genuine hlg boards, thats a fact. They have a fake replica with pointless resistors. They even blag them as  better than quantum boards. :nope:

Check the efficiency claims. 2.6 umol/J at system level...lol you would need over 600 lm561c s6 per board to get that.

Cool thanks for info will order from hlg who claim Samsung make the boards for them or will try to source some strips from somewhere. Had no idea invisible sun where selling fakes wow, read somewhere else that they were legit suppliers, there seems to be a few dodgy companies selling those qb288v2 on ebay in America too aghhh

There is a company that does the newer diodes lm301b. It uses 308 of them. They called zeus 308 kit if you search that term it should show.this is what I am humming and haring about , I was going to diy using strips etc but sizes I need out of stock and they be the 501 type.  I think I may order a board to see how they are, I like that they do modular frames to mount them and add other spectrums if needed ...:oldtoker:  Invisible sun is just really selling from either kingbrite or meiju irc...  The German company has its own mounting equipment irc
